I would paint cane back vanity chair the same color blue-gray as the vanity. A blue and white toile runner on vanity top would look great with new curtains too.
In any other circumstance, I would completely agree…but I just can’t bring myself to paint my parents caned back chairs (the rest are in our dining room). Your bedroom looks lovely and the lace really softened the table. The curtains are perfect; in other seasons, you could change ribbon to a heavier silk-type rope tassel. I really appreciate the links and information you provide-for those like me who do not have patience to search online! So funny, I can spend hours in antique and/or consignment store looking at everything but the online searches wear me out! You look wonderful in the dresses, especially the first one. You are an inspiration to so many and we appreciate you!

As for the bookcase your husband made and now it is in bedroom...you are headed in right direction with the lacy topper. Perhaps having doilys hanging within lower seperate cube areas, then create vignettes such as open hat boxes with a glimpse of jewelry trinkets showing, or perhaps great-grandma's sepia photo and her silver Victorian style hand mirror; add a carved wooden box with husband's childhood photo and a pocketknife or scout badges; a couple old hardback books with gold embossed titles; inkwell and calligraphy pen with wire glasses; displaying special things you and hubby could enjoy glancing at...even take walks together to find nature items like a bird nest, or filling a blue tinted Ball canning jar of "found" bird feathers, perhaps a smooth river rock from a fun weekend hike by a lake, just personal mementos of special items found or given... memories of vacations, family events... truly personable memories to gaze at together each night. Very romantic...and dont forget electric remote control candles, too!

Time really does fly by, seems like the older I get the faster it goes. I think that fabric looks nice on the chair. I love collecting old lamps..i have several milk glass ones, a couple are hobnail, I love to collect anything milk glass. Your handmade shade is so pretty. Ohhh goodness the yellow tulips are stunning!! Yellow is my favorite color flower💛 I think the lace on the bookcase looks really nice and you've styled it so pretty! The curtains look so good, I love them... and I like the blue ribbon tie back😊 The bedroom turned out so nice and springy, its beautiful! Thanks for sharing😊

Very pretty As for the piece of furniture your husband made, something to consider would be, using a pretty bed sheet or curtain, making a ruffle front attached to the same fabric topper 🤷🏻♀️ It would cover it and softening the look for a bedroom. Don’t know if I was able to explain myself. Like the front of a kitchen sink skirt 🤷🏻♀️ Anyway it’s all lovely. 💝 A ribbon around the neck of the 🦢 swan would cover the little brake on it:) just a few unnecessary suggestions 😊
