Hey guys, bought these taillights from Nixon Offroad on Amazon Canada. The brake light connector only has a single red wire under it, with no other wires connecting in the triangle, and it's blowing the 10a stop fuse. Polarity was always the problem but there's only one way to connect these anyway, and only a single wire to connect them to which leads me to believe polarity is unlikely the problem. I swapped to a 15a fuse and there's no problem now, they work perfect, however I don't like the idea of running a 15a fuse on a circuit designed for 10.
The brake light connector is the middle plug right? I bought these and mine only has a red wire as well. So what should I do to avoid a blown fuse? Return them? I don’t know what polarity means lol
@@FlexinRambo absolutely no idea why but I just unplugged all the internals of this light and plugged them back together. I successfully got them to run with a 10A fuse after I did that.
@@phillipslifting I am an idiot lol but what do you mean you unplugged them? Like you took them all out at the base of the light? So if I were to try and plug them in should I turn the battery off? Or would it blow the fuse either way once I turned it on?
Why do your lights blow fuses!
I installed these and they keep blowing my fuse . Is there a fix to this?
Bought these. Got rid of them. If it works for you. Your lucky. Blowing fuse. Shutting down your tacoma.
Did you reach out to the company

I had the same issue. Totally freaked me out when the console said that the "brake system failed."
@@BrynJones42hoodad yeah I know polarity has been an issue but the Nixon version literally makes impossible to wire backwards.

It’s dead my issues is running taillight was disconnected both of them
