Mat Sinking on the Mississippi: Preventive Maintenance

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers provides some preventive maintenance on the Mississippi River in the form of mat sinking to help protect levees and other river structures used to help keep the waterway navigable and reduce the risk of flooding for residents of Louisiana, Jan. 4, 2013.
