To be a plus size person living in Australia and have my fav youtuber come out with winter sweat shirts, in time for us AND in larger sizes means so much!! I can't wait to get one
Idk what you do differently but your videos are the only ones that I save for watching completely undistracted and undisturbed all cozy with some comfort food. And I never have the urge to do this with any other youtuber. Whatever magic it is I appreciate it so much that you do all this
My morning: curled up by the window, thunder storm rolling outside, hot tea in hand and this video on my tv. I swear I've never felt this excited about the changing seasons until I started following you. Thank you for creating and sharing your content 💕 PS. Summer sweatshirts are a VIBE ☀️
Loved this so much Desi - thank you! Fun fact - I’m a relative of Georgette Heyer’s (or I was, obviously. She died in the 70s). She married a Rougier, which is my family name.
I couldn't believe my eyes when I woke up and saw a second upload from you this week! Never have I gotten quicker out of bed 🥰 Thank you so much for all the lovely spring book recommendations and I'm so excited for your upcoming launch! They all look perfect 💖
Also a book recommendation!! If you haven’t read (a children’s book) The Adventures of Miss Petitfour, you NEED to!! The cover alone is SO spring, and it’s such an adorable, whimsical read about a woman who goes on adventures with her MANY cats (all with super quirky names!). And the illustrations are super charming! 💚
Yay Brambley Hedge! I had the 4 seasons one growing up. I wholeheartedly agree it’s good for adults to read children’s books. I’m lucky as I’m a primary school teacher so I get to read kids books daily and not feel silly 😂❤
books mentioned - Flower Heart by Catherine Bakewell - Lost Coast Literay by Ellie Alexander - anything by James Herriot - Old Herbaceous by Reginald Arkell - a ladys guide to fortune hunting by Sophie irwin - miss newburys list megan walker - wisteria society of lady scoundrels india holten - sense and sensibilty by Jane Austen - Georgette Heyer Arabella and These Old Shades - the enchanted april Elizabeth von Arnim - anne of green gables - bambely hedge - the tale of holly how by susan wittic albert - colouring books: creative haven and bobbi good
I’m so excited for Most Ardently and Kindred Spirits Club sweatshirts! And those book recommendations went all into my TBR! Also Desi, if you loved the Wisteria Society book you will LOVE the second book in the series! The Gentlewomen Witches is such a fun read, more open romance than the first book, but just so wholesome and sweet ❤
This is so funny, I woke up two hours ago and spent these two hours reading. Now I just opened youtube to see if you posted something and here it is this video! Thank you a lot Desi, you saved my life!
I think you would enjoy the Miss Read books, set in the Cotswolds (England) in the 1950s. They are really based on the memoirs of a village teacher. So wholesome and cottagecore. You should check them out.
It’s so refreshing to see what’s happening on the other side of the world right now, and it gives me a sprout of cheerful sprin even though it’s the middle of Autumn here in Australia. Guess it’s time to re-watch a few dessi Autumn videos…. 🍁 🍂
If you like funny Regencys, I suggest The Phantom Lover by Elizabeth Mansfield. If I were going to have a sweatshirt with a saying, I'd take it from the character Amelia, who frequently asks the other characters, "Would anyone like some tea?"
I read the lady’s guide to fortune hunting, and I loved the descriptions of the balls and dresses and I thought Lord Radcliffe was so charming! Highly enjoyed!
This is a gorgeous video, I love spring! James Herriot’s books are lovely and, if you haven’t seen it already, there’s a show based on his books called All Creatures Great and Small. I’m not sure where it airs in America but it’s worth watching 🤍☁️🌷
Hi Desi. Thanks for the beautiful, aesthetic videos you make. You make my life so much better. I always look forward to your videos, especially the book hauls and recommendations. Can you do a video on your entire book collection? I know I am asking for too much but I would love to see it.
You radiate springtime beauty Desi 🌷🎀 congratulations on your new spring enthusiast collection! it’s autumn in Australia and I am ✨ living ✨ for cosy reads and all the snuggles in my “mentally in stars hollow” sweatshirt 🍁
This made me so happy!!!! I grew up spending my summers on Prince Edward Island and every winter, my family would watch the old “Anne of Green Gables” movies. I am most DEFINITELY getting one if not 3 sweatshirts ❤️
This reminds me of the old book videos you used to do all the time, love it! I hope you continue to make more book videos. I always love your recommendations and always end up buying more books. Thank you for taking the time to makes these videos Desi!
First time reading Anne of Green Gables at the moment (after a long reading slump) and I’m loving every second of it! There such an appreciation for life and living in Anne and there is also this gentle wave of nostalgia -the book has captured so vividly how it’s like to be a little girl in general but a girl with a wild imagination that gets her in trouble in particular. The spring sweaters came out great! Lovely colour selections, particularly the lavender ‘kindred spirits club’ one is so dreamy! I would so much like to get my hands in one of those -spring is such a special season for me! After many years of battling with depression and anxiety and a few years of therapy my therapist had suggested at some point during springtime to engage in small, frequent walks around my neighborhood. It was like I was witnessing spring for the very first time in my life! Everything was so vivid yet gentle and ethereal, it was as if the very light was pulsating a beckoning towards me. I have spent so much time inside my head and indoors that I forgot there is a whole world outside to observe and love and take part in and it was in spring that I finally, truly, realized this and how far I’ve come. Thank you so much for your videos Desi. You’re such a sweet and genuine person, and I’m wishing you every joy. I hope you’re having a beautiful day! :)
I watched an old spring book video in March, and you recommended I Capture the Castle. I’m nearly finished, and I LOVE this book!! Thank you so much. Your book recs have reignited my love of reading!
Thank you for sharing these gorgeous recommendations 😍 I think C. S. Lewis said that a good children's book applies to all ages. And I couldn't agree more 💐
Desi, you should try reading "My Neighbor Totoro: The Novel" for summer! It describes the beautiful nature and the calm of just being alive. I believe you will lose yourself in the scenery. The details of the relationships between the family members is heartwarming and so sweet. Then the magic of Totoro comes alive filling your life with mystery. It's so amazing. I want to share it with everyone. Please read it!
You are only recommending books and you still made it so aesthetic and calming. Amazing hahhaha. I LOVE the sweaters btw, don't know which one to choose!!!!!
Beautiful sweatshirts.. I definitely recommend “Wind in the Willows “ The story is set at the beginning of spring, illustrations are lovely. Growing up in the U.K., we read many classics and I think you will thoroughly enjoy and add it to your Spring collection. Thank you for sharing the simpler things in life
Love your book recommendations, they always became my favs of the year! Mine is "A Lady's Guide to Etiquette and Murder" by Dianne Freeman. Is the first book in the Countess of Harleigh Mistery Saga. They can be read individually and they are kind of a 1890-1900 Agatha Christie misteries. Highly recommended.
Watching your video for the first time is a very special ritual for me, I have 4 kids and not alot of time for myself… but when you release a new video, I always wait untill I am by myself, with a nice cup of tea, a cozy blanket to watch. I do not want to have to press pause 😅 Then I watch it a second time with my daughter who is twelve, she absolutely adores you 😊 Can’t wait to watch this one!!!
I didn’t discover Anne of Green Gables until I was a mom with young boys. I would self care(before we called it that) and take a bubble bath once a month (or so) while my husband watched the boys and gave mommy a break. Scented candles, some classical music and something enchanting to read (like Anne or a new issue of Victoria magazine) was a wonderful escape. By the way the sweatshirts are lovely and it’s so nice that you are offering them in a wide variety of sizes. I live in an old farmhouse and while I’m hot natured I find I’m often chilly in the house even when it’s warm outside. Think I need one of those kindred club ones!!! ❤
omg, james herriot was the first book i0ve red when I was a little girl, maybe 8/9 year old, and I love all of them!! when we went in our summer house on the hills, I'm into deep dive in the cottage living, animals, walking trough the woods beyond the house, play with bunnies and chickens. This book reminds me all of this beautiful memories, and my love for animal nature and cottage. You'll ruin me with all the books that you've suggest and that I love. just now, my nightstand is a pile of books. the same for the windowsill and much more parts of my bedroom. XD my cat sleeps on my books XD I love your sweatshirt, I want the green of Anne the baby blue and the lillac for sure, and maybe the white one!! I'm still waiting super excited !!!! I'm already registered!! thank you sweetheart love your video as always and you're adorable with those vichy pink dress..
Lovely choices for spring reading. Loved Brambley Hedge as a child. Love that Agatha Christie Sinister Spring has a mention. Loved the winter and Summer editions. Reading Persuasion by Jane Austen at the moment. Love your RUclips content. You encouraged my 12 year old daughter that reading classics is fun and cool.
I hate spring, because my depression gets unbearable this time of year. March and April are the worst months for me. When the trees are green, it goes away. Sadly, this year, winter seems to be never ending here in Norway, so the trees arent budding any time soon. But I still love these spring videos! And I also love "Here comes the sun" and it suits your videos so well. The song is a sonic sun beam. Bring the Beatlemania to the next generations!
Don't know if you've read it, but I love the Brontë Mysteries series by Bella Ellis! It's a series where the sisters investigate and solve crimes in the English countryside 💓 they come in super cute editions and are so perfect for early spring!
If you haven't already, treat yourself to watching the 2020 adaptation of All Creatures Great and Small. It's about James's adventures as a young vet in Yorkshire and the cast, sets, scenery and details are stunning. Perfect escapism.
Desi you are spoiling us! Amazing as always. Small suggestion for a sweatshirt: off the shoulder/drop shoulder sweatshirts would be a good idea for warmer climates. I live in Florida, but I wear off/drop shoulder sweatshirts all the time. Usually they are a bit thinner and perfect for warmer weather.
Ok as soon as the sweatshirts come on you play an acoustic version of one of my favorite songs?? I almost started crying 😂 so excited to get at least one of those beauties!
I have never seen the Gilmore Girls, but I totally love the one with the, “I smell snow”. This is one of my super powers when it comes to smelling who is cooking what and what house. I can also, smell snow. It baffles my mind that we can smell rain, but not many can smell snow. But I am one of those that can. Thank you for your amazing videos, I learn so much.
It’s 1am in my country haha but I really want to thank you for all you do, every time I’m having a bad day I watch one of your videos to remind me how beautiful life can be, and how little things can make such a beautiful difference! I have dysautonomia so, it’s very common for me to have bad days and, as weird as it may sound, knowing that you have been (and still are) going through health issues and still trying to live your best and most beautiful life, it’s such an inspiration for me❤ send you a biiiiiiggggg hug and all my love!!
Another new Desi video so soon? We are so lucky! I always love your book recommendations. I put them on my to-read list at the library. 🙂💕 I am currently reading ‘The Other Bennet Sister’ which I first heard about from you! (I am loving it!)
Oh yay!! I honestly had that book on my list for this video but somehow forgot to include it when I sat down to film ☹️ It’s definitely one of my favorites! I hope you love it 🥰
I wear crew necks all year. They are so cozy and great for brisk Spring days, curling up to read in Winter, camping in the Summer, and Autumn's sweater weather. I'm sooo ready!!!
I just wanted to thank you for recommending The Cottage Tales of Beatrix Potter last year. I’ve never liked spring but I adored these last year and have decided to make them a yearly listen. It makes my spring much more whimsical and a bit magical.
Desi!!!!! Your decorating of your home is SO beautiful!!!!!!! You truly are inspiring!!!!! Thank U Desi for all your work you put into your videos! They are SO beautiful! U are SO beautiful!!!!!!🌷🌿🌷🌿🌷🌿🌷🌿🌷🌿🌷🌿🌷
I read through the Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels SO FAST, that I'm back for more book recommendations. I truly LIVE for your book lists, Desi!! Edit: Finished A Lady's Guide to Fortune Hunting and back for more book recs! Thanks Desi for making my spring so wonderful with these stories. 💐📚
I found your channel and I am addicted. I have redecorated my house back to cottage and read Ann of Green Gables and I LOVED IT. I think it may be my all time favorite book!!!! I am following your book recommendations closely and your cottage decorating and hobbies . I am old enough to be your grandmother (I'll be 69 on Friday) but you and I ARE kindred spirits. You will find out as you continue to age....you're always you in spirit!!! God Bless you Desiree for your work and this channel,
Your videos are so soothing for the soul! They’ve helped me so much with slowing down my life to focus the present moment more and I’m so grateful for the work you do to spread your positivity and tips and just general loveliness with anyone that comes across your channel :) A video I would love to see from you in the future is tips on finding the joy in keeping a tidy and clean house? It’s something I struggle with staying motivated with on a day to day basis since moving into my own space and I quickly get so overwhelmed. How do you make space in your day to keep up with those chores while not considering them a negative or “boring” part of the day? I’d love to find more enjoyment in cleaning!
Oh, how wonderful with spring! It is magic to be allowed to escape into your spring world for a little while, especially for me who lives in the arctic and have some 4 more weeks or so before the snow is gone. Thank you!
I highly recommend, for pandemic reading, A Gentleman in Moscow, for reasons that will become apparent early in the book. I plan to reread it now that the film, initially postponed, is going forward with Ewan McGregor.
Omg, I just finished Gentleman Moscow and loved it & reread it. My friend recommended to me as all time favorite of her entire book club! Please do give it a try by Amor Towles. Thank you for 2 videos! I hope RI is agreeing with you & climate will help your health issues recover. Btw I worked in Cambridge Boston 5 years, ( now back home to California) and have 2 recommendations for your exploring. 1) chocolate shop in Brattle Sq Cambridge "L A Burdick" and 2) Simon Pearce glassblower gallery & restaurant Quechee Vermont- magical! Sorry for the long comment. Cheers Maggie 😎 California
I just read the Miss Newbury's list and omg, it's so good.✨ So wholesome, with captivating writing and I think we all need a Charlie in our life, he was perfect 😍
The James Herriot All Creatures Great and Small books are like my family’s top fav books of all time. His first book was my bedtime story my dad would read to me when I was little. A must read for all readers! Thanks Desi for all the other book recs and for having a new video out within the same week! Wow how lucky are we 🤗 Both have me so excited and ready for spring - still quite cold here in the PNW but ahhhh this is so happy 🌷
Hey Desi ! Thank you so much for the video, it made me smile so much and got me so excited for spring 🤩🤩🤩 I have a book recommendation: The Particular Charm of Miss Jane Austen by Ada Bright and Cass Grafton. IT IS SO AMAZING! Think time travel meets Jane Austen meets regency and current times Bath meets libraries 🤩🤩 I’m reading the second of the series now and I just couldn’t put it down, it’s so so good!
I love every single sweatshirt and my mom named me Kindred because she wanted me to be her Kindred Spirit:) Now we are all in a club, thank you for your wonderful and sweet videos, you make me feel so seen and known!!
I love the art work in Brambly hedge. It was on tv when my kid was a baby....oh,i fell in love with the cute story and artwork,so lovely. Peter rabbit is so sweet too🥰. I love the colour of "kindred spirit".
I live in Ireland so I wear jumpers for all seasons, I’m definitely buying the « I smell snow » for next winter ❄️ For spring books I recommend The Wonderling by Mira Bartok ☘️
So happy you are going to bring out the Winter as well as Spring on the sweatshirts! I totally missed the Autumn and regret that but I can catch up once you launch!! Great group of Spring reads looking forward to a few of them myself!
Beautiful designs. My favorite is "most ardently". I just love that raspberry color. Thanks again for the book recommendations. It is so hard to find decent "closed door" romances, regency or otherwise.

if it remains a seasonal theme, i like the idea of naming your “merch” SEASONAL SWEETS since it is such a treat 🦋🤍🦋
I love that 🥹
You are only recommending books and you still made it so aesthetic and calming. Amazing hahhaha.

You are in my top 3 favorite RUclipsrs of all time to watch. It feels like home, like anew, cozy, safe, joyful, alive, hopeful!
Okay but the blue on the"I smell snow"-sweater matching Lorelie's scarf from that exact scene made me so happy
living in New Zealand now and so happy to see you having international options! I love everything you share!
Okay I added most of those books to my Goodreads! And those merch colors are so pretty!
OHMYGOODNESS! A lightning bolt of EXCITEMENT seeing the Brambly Hedge book! They were my favorite books when I was a kid!

@@margaretforsey7763 They really are! 🤍🤍
The James Herriot books are so funny. They made me laugh out loud on the train into work. I got funny stares. x
So excited for your launch!!!! Geeking out!
Keep your health and well being in my prayers. Thank you for adding beauty and joy to the world 🌸
If you haven't already, treat yourself to watching the 2020 adaptation of All Creatures Great and Small. It's about James's adventures as a young vet in Yorkshire and the cast, sets, scenery and details are stunning. Perfect escapism.
Because of you I watched ann with an e and feel I’m love with Matthew. Now I just got the “real” books and starting next week
Definitely want the Most Ardently shirt. I love subtly geeky stuff.
Blonde and pastels look good on you darling! You look so fresh and so pretty!
Tote bags with pockets to hold picnic supplies and books of course! Got to always be prepared for those summer picnic readathons!
Thank you so much for including a warning about whether a book does or doesn’t include steamy scenes! Its really really helpful
I can’t wait for this launch. The colors are gorgeous and I can’t wait to join the Kindred Spirits Club
I’ve never heard you recommend “The Go-Between”. Very springish and you would love it.
Your outfit! Your hair! Your book recommendations! Your sweatshirts! Ahh I just love you through the screen! 🥰 🌸 📚
You would like RUclipsr Randi Lynn Reed, I think.
I’m so excited for the launch and that you’re releasing the winter collection with the spring one because I’m definitely a winter enthusiast✨
Enchanted April is such a good movie as well! Thank you for all the recos!
You should read the forget me not summer! It’s a summer book obviously, but it’s one of my favorite books!!! 🫶🏻💕
They’ve helped me so much with slowing down my life to focus the present moment more and I’m so grateful for the work you do to spread your positivity and tips and just general loveliness with anyone that comes across your channel :)
A video I would love to see from you in the future is tips on finding the joy in keeping a tidy and clean house? It’s something I struggle with staying motivated with on a day to day basis since moving into my own space and I quickly get so overwhelmed. How do you make space in your day to keep up with those chores while not considering them a negative or “boring” part of the day? I’d love to find more enjoyment in cleaning!
DD, you are the embodiment of "comfy cozy"!
A lovely video. I think The Secret Garden and Lady Chatterley's Lover make for good Springtime reading 🌷🪺🩷.
I want to own every single one of those sweatshirts 😍
I think aprons for the summer could be cute ❤
Aprons! Yes!
I feel like if Anne Shirley would meet you Desi ,you two would probably be best friends.😘
Thank you for not telling too much about the story! So many books to add to my TBR! The sweatshirts are beautiful!
Ahhh seeing this new video made my morning! Literally tearing up at the incredible magic you’ve brought to my day ❤️
I really hope you bring the autumn sweaters back at well. The winter enthusiast is definitely mine!!!
Always happy to see a new video of my favorite RUclipsr! ❤❤❤ DarlingDesi AND books? This is heaven...
Oh, how wonderful with spring! It is magic to be allowed to escape into your spring world for a little while, especially for me who lives in the arctic and have some 4 more weeks or so before the snow is gone. Thank you!
Your videos bring me such joy, they make my heart smile! You are such a lovely lady, thank you for putting out absolutely delightful videos.
From Australia, thank you for putting the winter collection up now!
I do enjoy the Brambly Hedge books with my children, we also enjoyed the Tum Tum and Nutmeg series, definitely cottage core!
I just read the Miss Newbury's list and omg, it's so good.✨ So wholesome, with captivating writing and I think we all need a Charlie in our life, he was perfect 😍
I would really love to see a video of you coloring! I think that would be so calming and wholesome! Love your videos!!
I'm SO ready for spring! I love that blue on the spring sweatshirt..it's perfect!
Couldn't have asked for more today. Thank you Desi ❤
I love the art work in Brambly hedge. It was on tv when my kid was a baby....oh,i fell in love with the cute story and artwork,so lovely. Peter rabbit is so sweet too🥰.
I love the colour of "kindred spirit".
the long awaited video!
thank you so much Desi-nim♡ spring is my favourite season, and i love reading books >
Good afternoon Desi. You're the absolute essence of Springtme. Thanks so much for sharing your reading list.
I live in Ireland so I wear jumpers for all seasons, I’m definitely buying the « I smell snow » for next winter ❄️ For spring books I recommend The Wonderling by Mira Bartok ☘️
I ordered some of these books and color books for my granddaughters. Mailing tea cookies with them for a summer activity package. Thank you! ❤
