Thanks for your help, I have a question for you, if I would like to extract the numbers, but divided by a space or comma, eg: Text 12 Text 1994 Text Text 100.000 = 12,1994,100.000 or 12 1994 100.000. How can I do? (With VBA code) Thanks
Decimal Numbers are Not Considered here ? I tried with Adding End If before Next i and Last Line Changed as ExtraxtNumbers = Val(NumericChars) Found working Well. Thanks for Sharing
Thank you very much for creating this video. I would have one question on " How do I extract different numbers from a long text string using VBA? For example "21045; i. to provide access control hardware. 22356; ii. existing infrastructure and system" etc.. In this case, I would like to extract 21045 and 22356 returning as "21045 , 22356" with a comma as a delimiter.
How would you separate address field into numbers and text when the street number contains "-"; for example, "10-123 Gilbert Street" into "10-123" and "Gilbert Street"?
Attempted to use the formula... Worked to fix one problem with getting my alphabetical values from string but gave me an additional issue with blank cells returning a reference error "#REF!".
Fantabulous. Essayist explained. Don't know the power query will resolve this problem. Felt that you are in front of me. Learn new thing from you. Thanks & Regards Alok Ghosh
How can it deal with the content with decimal number? Thank you

Brilliant formula. This is what I needed for Excel. In Google Sheets it is piece of cake but in Excel is "rocket science". Thanks!

This doesn't help if you have a cell that says "2023 - Q1" or "1/1/2023" that is displayed as "Jan - 2023". 😓
why when i typed the extractnumbers the function is not available??
Awesome sir!! I will use the formula. I have followed this channel and saved this video for future reference. Big thank you!!!!
I need to input a vin# for a vehicle and I need it to tell me the year (from a table of values). the 10th digit in a vin# is the year of that vehicle.
Very good
We can also use sequence() function instead of row(INDIRECT (..
Like: sequence(len(A2),1,1,1)
