Maiden was so talent musically. I still dont know how they came up with so many melodies in every fuckin song. It takes me forever to come up with a cool melody and ill use it for one entire song. They have like a half dozen melodies in each song. So fuckin creative and brilliant. And the way they harmonize. They are one of the greatest! Thanks for the great cover and awesome job dude!
Look at the credits - not even "them" for most of the songs - "him"! Steve Harris wrote a HUGE chunk of the material - that man's a sort of Lennon and McCartney combined! (And, from rumours I've heard, he a great bloke, too totally down to earth and not at all damaged by the massive fame, success, money and talent he's blessed with).
@@stuartmcintyre74 the amount of unique sounding music Steve Harris has gotten out of the same 3 chords is one the most impressive feats in music.
There was much better pure and clean Afghan HASH back then.
I still love the hardcore punk aspect of the first two albums!

Have developed my bass playing to the point where I think I'm capable of attempting this now. Daunting though! Have been thinking about having a stab at this for a while now, but kept putting it off. With the UK going into another Covid 19 lockdown this week, I've finally had a look for a RUclips tutorial - and see you've posted this video this week. I think it's meant to be.... Anyone who says Steve Harris isn't a bass God doesn't know the first thing about Iron Maiden. I was disappointed when the golden gods award for best bassist went to Lemmy instead of Steve Harris. Lemmy was good but not golden god good.

not sure on the exact brand but I can tell he is using flatwounds. Steve Harris himself also uses flatwounds, which is prett unique in the metal scene in general but if thats the sound you want go for it.
