"2 Minutes to Midnight" from Iron Maiden's "Powerslave" album (1984).
More Iron Maiden! I felt like it was time for another one since most of you really liked the other three Maiden covers. I'm getting a lot of hate for playing The Trooper with the three-finger technique, so that is really nice too. This song doesn't have any of that so I should be fine. I used the official isolated bass track for this cover so it should be really, really close to 100% accurate. I busted out the jazz bass again because uh, why not right. So uhm, for the maiden fans. Is this song in any way connected to When the Wild Wind Blows? Both are about nuclear stuff. Oh well, it's quite a nice song.
Some important information that nobody is going to read.
Tuning: E-A-D-G
Artist: Iron Maiden
Bassist: Steve Harris
Album: Powerslave (1984)
Song: 2 MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT
Bass: Sire Marcus Miller V7-4 2nd Generation Alder Bright Metallic Red - Видеоклипы
Bro plays Maiden with a J-bass and three fingers yet sounds perfect...we love you
You really had me there for a second
Love learining Iron maiden songs to improve fingers overall
Thanks leo, fantastic cover as always
Thanks a lot!
As always the right bass tone and cool instrument Leo!! Well played!!🎸
THANK YOU!!!! This has always been kind of a weird song for me to try to learn, but one I've always wanted to tackle. You vids always help-super clear and well played
A pleasure!
I was looking foward to this one, thanks
No problem!
🔥🤘 Thanks for posting this! One of my fav Iron maiden songs !!
No problem :)
One of the songs I love so much to play, it's really really fun to play(and not so simple to learn). Thanks for the cover ! (and as usual, now I see some mistakes I make which will be so hard to fix as I play this song for years with them :p )
Very fun indeed! And good luck with the correcting :)
Though you can always stick to your own version
This is so cool! Thank you for posting!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Looks gorgeous!
Thank you!
Nice. Cool Sire, by the way. 😎
Thanks!
Loving the new bass and that tone!
Much appreciated :)
Very nice-I've been playing the Songster version-although not at Steve's speed but getting there-quite a few differences so I will be using your vid to change how I play it-so I'll view it about 1034346883563450 times until I get it lol.
About the song-written by Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith. Not related to When the Wild Wind blows (written by Steve Harris) to my knowledge. It portrays critically how the rich and powerful romanticize war for their benefit.
I'll reach out to you once it hits 1034346883563450. Good luck! Thanks for clearing up the song meaning :)
Oh hell yea. If you do any more Maiden, try something from Somewhere in Time, their best album.
The red bass playing maiden again wooooooow
Great tune ❤
I think there’s a misnomer in the important information no one reads but it’s probably not worth correcting since no one reads it
Oh yeah whoops, the bass name. Thanks for the heads up
Excelente, y muy buena la camiseta de "A perfect circle"👍🏻
Kudos!
Noooooooo! How dare you play a short scale bass lol. Great cover my dude as always!
Whoops.. much appreciated!
Great Job man!
Is this bridge the original? i have a sire V7 with a different one (great bass dude!)
No idea if it's the original but this is how it came out of the box basically. Thank you!
really good but steve harris basically never uses open strings so I'd rather play that A on the E string
Bass effects my friend?
what strings do you use??
For these I used Dunlop Super Bright NW Medium 45-105
그냥 보는것조차 따라가기 힘드네 ㅎㅎㅎ😅
How come we never see this bass
I usually just stick to the Warwick I guess
@@LeoBassCovers2 i do love the warwick but remember to give the others some love. Great cover!
GOAT!!!!
