    HW:
    When a light travels from glass to air ie from denser to rarer medium, the light ray bends away from the normal ❤

    Away from the Normal Because Light speed in water 225000 In Glass 200000 So Glass Is Denser And Water is Rarer Then it Moves From the Denser to rarer It Moves Away From the Normal

    51:21 The refractive index depends upon both velocity of medium and snells law right
    Then, if i and r will be 0, then sini/sinr equals to 0, but v1/v2 = 1.5 ( in air to glass ). How?

    51:00 if ray pass along the normal ray will not bent. It means n21(refr. Index of glass wrt air) will change or not because angle i and r is same but v1 and v2 will change. But ref. Index depends on both

    • @herolivesnu
      @herolivesnu 3 года назад

      Actually refractive index is a measure of change in velocity as regards to two different transparent materials, not their change in direction. Change in direction is a close substitute method not the main method

    Why does light bend?
    A) because the light ray is going through the rarer medium to the denser medium.

    We know that density of water is low when compared with glass. So water must be rarer and then glass must be denser.As we knew that when light travels from denser to rarer, it bends away. from the normal. SO CORRECT ANSWER IS (B)

    Answer is (c) because glass and water both are denser medium so medium is not changing means no refraction means no bend of light and MY SPECIAL THANKS TO SIR ( THANKS FOR TEACHING US AND WE ARE UNDERSTAND YOUR CONCEPT IN MORE AFFECTIVE AND BETTER WAY ) A LOT OF THANKS ONCE AGAIN 😄
