Hi Kim, Yeah, I love working with concrete. It's really cool. In future videos I'll be showing viewers how to use the techniques demonstrated in this video to produce some cool jewelry. Thanks for your continued support of the OJA! : )
+Hi Marcy, This video, as mentioned in the description, focuses primarily on how to mix and handle the concrete. Subsequent videos will cover design considerations and how to apply the material in a piece. Depending on the shape of your mold or how you shape the concrete casting, however, you could incorporate a piece like this using prongs or a bezel. Stay tuned and I'll show you some concrete examples. Thanks for your support! : )
As always, a great tutorial. TFS! How does this product compare to using plaster of perris for similar projects? It seems like plaster would be lighter weight. Thoughts?
I've never attempted to do this with plaster of paris. But, I'm sure it can be done. I'm more interested in the concrete as a material. Plus, I believe that the concrete would resist cracking from wear better than plaster. You can always experiment to see what you prefer. Thanks for your support! : )

Ah ha, that's is a good point. Plaster probably would be more apt to chip. Thanks!

Are concrete jewelry heavy?
I guess it depends on how large they are. But generally they aren’t too heavy. 😀
