Can't believe it's almost been 9 years ! I love this song so much, so catchy. I remember watching this so well both in the semi final and then the final, i was so happy when it made it through to the grand final! been watching eurovision every year since 2009, and no song has ever even come to close this one for me. Still means a lot to me 9 years later, have pretty much listened to it every day since 🇫🇮💙🇦🇺
Here's the thing, this is Eurovision. Having anything like this is frowned upon in the competition. If you haven't noticed, almost none of the songs have lyrics like this, no thought provoking things.
i love the fact that people spend hunderts of comments discussing if she's gay or not, if being gay is a sin or not ... let's make a point! the music was ok she had a lot of fun as you can see and that`s what the ESC is about and even if she is gay nobody cares and of course it`s not a sin
"You never see two men kissing in a public street or holding hands for that matter." Are you serious? As a Finn I always enjoy visiting Sweden because the people are so much more open-minded. I've seen men kissing several times on the streets of Stockholm, and I think that's fucking awesome. I actually think there are studies showing that Swedish attitudes towards homosexuality are the most positive in the whole world.
I like this song, most of the other Eurovision songs sounded like they wanted to be profound and failed because there was nothing profound they wanted to say they just sung generic lyrics, at least this song is about something it sounds like something someone would feel, and it has bells and flowers and a wedding dress. People are liking and disliking this song and God damn it I want a fight about it :D.
Well, that's probably the reason. I'm from Finland and we had a public "poll" for who should be picked, it was called Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (Fresh Music's Competition freely translated), and Krista won. I myself liked her song better anyway, but Mikael was the second and many preferred him, but well, competition is a competition, so. :)
dude, Finland, you came 1st with metal, 15th with rock, and 17th (?) with metal as long as i've followed, and 24th with pop. let's face it: don't join Eurovision with pop next year, please? best wishes, from a Finn living in Asia
I did leave, live in USA now and very happy here. Plenty of my Russian friends with whom I went to school in the UK had the chance to stay but chose to go back to Russia. If you love your country that's great, but most Russians love Russia and it's not your bloody business to try and change it, your only business is your own country, not anybody else's.
I voted for this song as a briitishman living in belgium , this song was 10 times as good as denmark's song , 90%political votes 10%real votes , i want old eurovision back with real viotes
guess what: the ideals and values of a society are changing. not so long ago it was completely normal to be racist against black people or to oppress women, if you do that today you are practically an outcast of your society and there are even laws to prevent it. Which is good because we are all humans and all equal no matter which nationality, gender, skin colour or sexuality you have. I really hope that one day we'll have a world without any of those discriminations.
I’ll play your game, I’ll change my last name I’ll walk the walk of shame I do it for you, for you, for you Yeah, I do it for you, marry me baby I know where the future’s heading, I can see my perfect wedding Isn’t that just bracing? I don’t think there are no ladies who will give you cuter babies Isn’t that amazing? (and so on) Don't blame lyrics if you don't understand them. :D
Spying on you undercover, drinking coffee with your mother Am I getting closer? Baby, I feel like a sinner, skipping dinner to get thinner Where is my proposal? I’m your slave and you’re my master Oh baby, come on, take your shot So marry me, I’ll be your queen bee I’ll love you endlessly I do it for you, for you, for you Yeah, I do it for you, marry me, baby
Haplogroup N1c, which is common among Finns arrived in Finland already about 12,000-14,000 years ago from Asia. The genetic stock has changed a lot during this time. In brief, more than 80% of Finnish genes are from a single ancient North-European population. Actually, the oldest mtDNA haplogroup in Europe that is found in the whole of Europe at a low frequency seems to be found in significantly higher levels among Finns.
A classmate told me about the kiss. She said tha it was incredible that they showed that on public TV. I just looked at her like "This is 21st century right?" I could not believe it.
Krista herself said that the kiss was for the people calling her an anti-feminist. If it was a girl she wanted to be a slave for, it wouldn't be anti-feminist anymore.
I agree (From Denmark) I saw it with my friends and we was like; OMG THEY KISSED HOW AWESOME!!. And then we voted for it~ It's most old people not young people (I'm young~), and it's most old people who see it D:
Yeah me too^^ I also liked Norway, Iceland, Belgium and Azerbaijan. Tough i was kind off disappointed this year at how over- or underrated some songs were...
If a MtF was a heterosexual male, then transitions to female and is still attracted to females, they're considered lesbians. Hopefully I did not misunderstand your comment.
I LOVE YOU NOW, FELLOW HETALIAN! (No seriously, one of the main reasons I love this song is, how well it fits with Sweden's and Finland's relationship! xD)
I don't get why it did so bad, I mean c'mon people, this was the most fun song of the show. And DON'T tell me your foot didn't start tapping along to the rhythm! Way to go, sweet neighbours in the north!
Well, we're all free to think whatever we want as long as we respect each other, but I'm afraid I'll have to disagree with you... I struggle to see the difference between a homosexual and a heterosexual. Personally, I am only attracted to boys (I'm a girl), but just like I can't help feeling attracted to some boys, a homosexual can't help being attracted to a person of the same sex. ...
"No I repulsed them... I haven't been rude to anyone just yet." If you reject them with rudeness, you're repulsing them. "If you haven't rejected the first damn one how on earth will you go to others" But I did reject it. "I have plenty of them but you aren't ready yet." This isn't the time for irony. "I believe in equality and [...]" That fails to show in your use of pseudo-science and initial anti-gay posts.
I really don't think you're born being attracted to animals or dead people, although you're born being attracted to people, whatever their sex may be... But I don't think we'll reach and agreement! However, it's nice to be finally talking to someone that is nice and uses reasonable arguments even if they don't share your point of view :)
ME TOO!!! My friend and I are cosplay'ing Sweden and Finland, and we're going to do a CMV to this song, where Finland wants to Marry Sweden. It's going to be epic xDD
I'm saying that Sweden banned male-male kisses from the official performances. They only included one in the half-time show because gay web sites had criticized Eurovision for showing a girl-girl kiss (which was fake) but not a guy-guy one.
It's not a disease because a disease is typically defined as an illness - a lot of the times ones that you need medication to either fix or suppress before serious health risks or death occurs. Sexual orientation does not hinder your health, a disease does.
"so why not to believe it!!" Because it's false? "it proved every single mentioned thing" Proving falsehoods is simply consistently misinforming others, you're supposed to approach new information with skepticism.
This year we didn't at all give eachother as much points as usual. Also: Sweden is the bigges music exporter per capita in the world, and probably mainly to northen and western european countries because our taste in music is more alike.
FYI, no parts of Finland have ever been part of Soviet Union (apart from 380 square km area in Porkkala Cape that was rented to the Soviets until 1956). Soviets took over Kariela during WW2 and it has remained Russian ever since, and Finland has been very much Finland ever since its declaration of independence in 1917. 0.8% speak Russian as their mother tongue in Finland. Most of the speakers are remigrants and their descendants from Karelia. Their share of the population is growing nowadays.
Did anyone understood that she's NOT lesbian... She is singing there that her boyfriend would marry him. If that final kiss ruined everything, it was wrong reason to not vote her. Awesome song. Should have been in Top 5
This country should be in the final 5....I don't undertsand why people disliked that homosexual thing....it is just an idea..and the song was catchy..I cannot understand the fact that this song didn't go on the final 5...so sad
How did people not like this?! It's amazing!
People did it just got screwed in the running order
Can't believe it's almost been 9 years ! I love this song so much, so catchy. Krista has got pretty face and great voice. I JUST LOVE HER! OwO
Hetalia!!

Ding dong indeed!
In Copenhagen, the 2014 host nation, you can get married during the event; whoever you're marrying!
Good old Denmark!
And a kiss sends everyone crazy!
2:27 amazing part ❤️❤️❤️
I think its a great up-tempo song and i enjoy it
People are born with the capacity to feel attracted to other people, even if they don't develop it until they're a certain age.
Wow it must take guts to snog a woman when your not a lesbian!
Alex Dicksee true 😂
This is the best thing in the Internet. I realise that I say this regularly but this time, I mean it.
Zacki e its just a song.... who cares if kids watch this.... its only a song.. jeez people take it seriously.. in music
Para mi una de las mejores canciones!!
Honestly thought she would've ranked in the top ten (in the grand final), or do better than Romania!
they look so happy at the end oh my god I have tears in my eyes
Should have won !
I agree :D I'm from Norway and vote Finland..idc if it gets last. THIS IS THE BEST ANYWAYS!!!
Krista you are the best!!!
she is beautiful and a great singer and a certificate of Finnish beauty.
I love this song so much *--------*
Here's the thing, this is Eurovision. Having anything like this is frowned upon in the competition. If you haven't noticed, almost none of the songs have lyrics like this, no thought provoking things.

This is such a statement. I love it. BE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF HISTORY!
Sometimes it can, I also listen to it. Well good to see it's not changing them :)

I voted for this song as a briitishman living in belgium , this song was 10 times as good as denmark's song , 90%political votes 10%real votes , i want old eurovision back with real viotes
I'm in mourning. Deserved much better than 13 points and 3rd-bottom. This kind of fun spectacular performance is what ESC is all about.
Am I the only one who actuallye LOVED that ending?
guess what: the ideals and values of a society are changing. not so long ago it was completely normal to be racist against black people or to oppress women, if you do that today you are practically an outcast of your society and there are even laws to prevent it. I voted for this from germany 3
Loved that performance.
I’ll play your game, I’ll change my last name
I’ll walk the walk of shame
I do it for you, for you, for you
Yeah, I do it for you, marry me baby
I know where the future’s heading, I can see my perfect wedding
Isn’t that just bracing?
I don’t think there are no ladies who will give you cuter babies
Isn’t that amazing?
(and so on)
Don't blame lyrics if you don't understand them. :D
wonderful song yeah
Spying on you undercover, drinking coffee with your mother
Am I getting closer?
Baby, I feel like a sinner, skipping dinner to get thinner
Where is my proposal?
I’m your slave and you’re my master
Oh baby, come on, take your shot
So marry me, I’ll be your queen bee
I’ll love you endlessly
I do it for you, for you, for you
Yeah, I do it for you, marry me, baby
Guys chill it is her performance and you should respect that and don't judge her for one thing

If a MtF was a heterosexual male, then transitions to female and is still attracted to females, they're considered lesbians.
Hopefully I did not misunderstand your comment.
I´m so proud of her!!! She did a great job!! maybe the kiss was a protest for every close-mindedness people in the world and they deserved it!! Krista
I LOVE YOU NOW, FELLOW HETALIAN! (No seriously, one of the main reasons I love this song is, how well it fits with Sweden's and Finland's relationship! xD)
That's discrimination, not base level inequality.
Not recognising people as normal is inequality, no matter what.
I don't get why it did so bad, I mean c'mon people, this was the most fun song of the show. And DON'T tell me your foot didn't start tapping along to the rhythm!
Way to go, sweet neighbours in the north!
GOOD LUCK FROM GREECE !!
I love this song, because my best friend Samm married Julianna in Finland and they currently live there aaa
bring it on Finland! :) respect from Hungary!
I voted for you, too... What a pitty, it honestly was really good... You deseeved top 5
