So i calculated the estimated timesave wrongly when i first wrote the description. Poki skip is actually faster it seems!!!!! TL;DR is it saves around 50 seconds optimally. I have corrected the description now, so head there for more information
This is awesome. I really cant believe this is still slower than doing Gaspar and Poki though, if this saved significant time it would be worth trying some day
I honestly can't see how this could be much faster than this. Even if there's a faster way to go from. Pos2 to pos3, I don't see saving much more than 20 seconds. Clank is just so slow
For the longest time, until the first version was found, it felt like the opposite was true. Everything was just out of reach. Now I feel the same way you do

Especially the levitating technique with the punch, that somebody found out after 10 hours straight of colliding the tiny robots together with clank and a wall. Like, what made him so sure it was possible in order to spend 10 hours dedicating to that specific thing before it even being successful once to prove it's even a possibility? I wholeheartedly wish to know.
I may not be a speedrunner, but previously having watching Rixer's video on the history of Poki Skip awhile back makes this amazing to see. Here's hoping that now that we know it's possible, that you, or fellow speedrunners/glitch hunters could hopefully find a bit more to make Poki Skip something we could see in NG+ runs!

I feel like this might be able be optimized more with the new proxy trick. Moving the camera is faster than opening the saved scenes. And its possible theres a jump out there were missing
Holy Sh@t! You've done it! This is porbably the new way to Speedrun! Not only you save the time to skip Pokitaru & Gaspar you also save the time to colect the Infobots at Orxon and Batalia. This is way faster!
You can manipulate the file on ps3 so that when you take out the first chunk of dreks health it triggers the cutscene that auto equips the thrusterpack. With that its possible to finish the game.

I'd say it's definitely much more of a coin flip compared to the normal route. The magnerail proxy and the last proxy into the magneboot room are still not completely figured out. But the only real threats are the birds, the proxy from infobot position 2 to 3, and maybe the first magnerail proxy. Then there is also the problem of doing everything fast
Dude this is insane, do you think theres a chance we can potentially optimise this to get better times ? Almost makes me wanna pick up and learn the speedrun tech so I can help research to see if this would be viable to speed up
This already saves time over the combined comgolds of the planets that are skipped. However, it also entails a lot of randomness compared to the normal route. But finding the right setups and maybe a better way to get to position 3 could potentially make this the standard route

Just a question, Apparently you can use quit exploit on all of the classic ratchet games including RAC1 on the ps3 to change your items, can't you do that to obtain the O2 mask and directly have it on your first orxon visit? Rac3 has a category with QE but seems to be the only one of the 3 to get one it seems
Rac1 actually doesn't have qe because "quitting the game doesn't make the loaded save counter set to -1" (according to isaki). Rac2 did have an ng+ qe category, but no one played it because it was really boring so it got removed (literally just started your ng+ file on yeedil and played a single planet)
Will we still play as Ratchet once we go to the Gemlik Base after Hoven without the O2 Mask from this skip? Or how will the game program us to play as for the Gemlik Base
the game never actually checks for o2 mask ouside of orxon (and when youre in water). So all planets where you would use it, such as gemlik and fleet, are the exact same as if you had picked up the mask
