- To create my latest series, Mary and I traveled to Morocco in search of the pigment used to coat the walls of the blue city, Chefchaouen. First, however, we made our way to the souks (street markets) of Marrakech, Fez, and Amizmiz.

A wonderful video, full of colours. I can almost smell the scent of spices, perfumes, vegetables and fresh fruits. The cats there are not afraid of humans and this is due to feeding them. The painting that was painted is magic. It resembles an icy land interspersed with deep rivers. I traveled with you for free. In this video, I miss my country very much. I have not visited it for more than five years. Greetings to you, a Moroccan residing in Sweden.

Since you are an artisit you might consider for your next visit to Morocco the work around the Paon ( Taouss in darija )
it was on our flag during the morabitine era and its widly used in the caftan and also a beutifull jewellery called "Sordock " also its a must to have a fine bone china pieces of Paon in every house
the city of Fes has a factory that uses very old ( centiries ago ) methods
There is also a special blue color for the paon fine bone china

I live in west LA surrounded by multi million mansions that I feel they are soulless and minimalist artistically compared to our Moroccan old towns. Even some of the new buildings in Morocco are just very boring and dull.
Absolutely. The richness and depth of place that has a recorded history as far back as the 8th century BCE is unbelievable. I am basically from the same area as you--I'm from Ventura County--and, with the exception of some of the missions (as problematic as that history is), there is not a lot of architecture to speak of.
