Thanks to everyone for checking out my 1st little bike packing trip! Since filming this, I attempted another bikepacking trip. I say "attempted" because I had to cut it short. After a day of riding, a storm blew in. The wind was intense (trees falling in the forest around me) and skies poured down upon me for several hours overnight. What's the problem, you ask? Well apparently my seam sealing wasn't up to snuff for several hours of heavy rain. The tent started leaking and everything got wet. The next morning, with more rain and storms in the forecast, I decided to leave. Temperatures were going to drop and I had a leaky tent. Staying didn't seem like a safe thing to do. I did do some filming, but I'm not entirely happy with the footage I have since the overall ride/trip is incomplete. I may still edit it and post a video, but no promises. I have since resealed my tent and tested it with a hose; it seems to be sealed now. I look forward to returning to finish the ride when I have the time (and feel like driving that far solo again!). Thanks again for watching this!
Yeah it does! Can't wait to get back to bikepacking now that winter is over! Next time, I'll have my new puppy in tow! Hope to have the first trip with him (weather permitting) within the next month or so!
