Hi Cody, thank you for clll the videos you are having on the Bernette38b, just to let you know I’ve finally got to grips with this machine, especially as I am now making my very first quilt and the quilting box are lovely to have. It came with the machine. I’m now on the middle part of my effort. It’s all to do with Queen Elizabeth the ll. all through last year I bought lots of things for it and my grandson made copies of 1953 photos and did that on fabric afterwards. It’s already in length of 65”!!! No border yet. Wish me look with the remainder to sew. Greetings I’m learning even at my age. Ha.
Your videos are so incredibly helpful. I didn’t realize I could move my needle in the straight stitch. The shop where I bought my Bernette didn’t really know much about them.
Hi I like your demonstration but surely for prospective buyers to SEE what you are showing that the machine can do, please use a LIGHT colour thread. One questions can this machine have an upright spool post?
Hi I bought this machine as a quilt edition, yet I’m having trouble with the top thread getting tight through that little lever, not only that but it sews loops on the underside. What could possibly be going wrong? Any help from somebody? Please. I feel like selling this machine now.
Hi, I'm sorry you're having issues with the b38. How long have you had it? If it's fairly new your dealer should be able to take care of it no problem and should be under warranty. Typically looping underneath your project usually is a tension issue mostly with the top thread tension. Also I would take off the stitchplate and take out the bobbin case to make sure it's clean and nothing going on down there. Just make sure it gets put back properly because that can cause another set of issues. However most bernina/bernette dealers are really good about taking care of their customers, they should be able to help you out. I'd hate to see you sell it, they are such good little machines.
Hi, I’m here again, sorry about that. Having packed the machine up again and got my old Bernina 530-3 record out again to continue sewing the project, I had another look ay videos as well as rereading the instructions again. After finding the information finally on a video, I realised that the dial on the top was on 6! Not surprised that the thread was so tight. Anyway, thank you for your kind help. It’s all sorted and the machine saw the light of day again and is sitting in front of me. I’m now starting my “Queens” quilt. ERll. My first ever quilt. Thank you again.
@@sdcgren6301. I'm really glad to hear your solution. I also just bought. Oh, ah, it's a very nice little machine. As long as used- not beyond its limits. The newer machines, looks like certain operations are being discontinued. Access to hand - presser foot lever Foot, thread tensions. This machine is in between a little of both Manuel - computer. Then I saw some vids on Deco stitch embellishment - fabulous- the imagination. This machine, as long as I don't burn up the motor, no super heavy fabrics.... This little machine I do recommend For beginners, light - med sewers. I have a sailrite - lSZ-1, for the heavier projects. Glad thread issue is resolved. 🙋 🤺💐
i assume this foot does not come with the machine? why not? same with the straight stitch switch plate; WHY WOULD THAT PLATE NOT COME WITH THE MACHINE? 😳
Common sense: Because not everyone needs or wants these things. If it came with everything, the cost would be considerably more. Buy only what YOU need.

Love the stich, I'm looking at buying the Bernette B38. Do you know if you can use coats thread that is 100% polyester on the Bernette machine?
I don't see any link to the store to order the foot?

Hi so what is the correct number or letter for this edge stitch, I’ve tried to buy this in the UK, NO such luck here.
