My wife is the bridge tender in the video. Our daughter is also a tender.

That is quite a job to have as a bridge tender. I can imagine how stressful it can be with that bridge being prone to traffic congestion. I know I've crossed it many times including last July.

Who was she yelling at inside the booth?

Are there no gates where she has to tell drivers where to stop? Ridiculous.

Yes, there are two gates for east and westbound traffic. The ping sounds signal when the gates are nearing their opening and closing cycles.

U could've at least shown some pet of the roadway and the bridge going up, on the outside.

What's with all the drama, egging on, hitting switches multiple times? All that to raise or lower a freakin drawbridge??? Lol

@@mikewillett5076 its a lot more then just one switch ya know, she has to get all the span locks, emergency breaks, and all the gates and traffic lights

@@tkproductions2019. Ya know, I really thought it only took one switch and everything else was an automated process. So thanks for correcting me.

@@mikewillett5076 On newer bridges there is a panel called a PLC (programmable logic controller) and its another word for computer, and it does like the span getting them connected together and it can show you what status the gates are at, the span locks, the span and the traffic lights. Tho one issue with them is if you dont check all the safetys it wont allow you to open the bridge to traffic, it is common on bridges that are controlled from another bridge because there smart enough and there electronic so theres only a tad bit of wiring to do.

Why did she tell you to move in a rude way

She wasn't being rude, she was just doing her job as a bridge tender. She needed more visibility.
