    So close. Can't wait to see the first ride. You have better patience than me. I'd have test ridden it by now. LoL.

    I'm supersized that the shaft did not have a gasket on that junction connecting to the wheel wont the grease leak when the bike gets hot. Bike looks great by the way...

      No gasket when taking it off, and nothing in the manual to say so either, I did think it.

      Thanks, going to start stripping the CB with the customer this weekend to show the 'bare bones'. Parts have already started coming in for it.

      For The Bold - dreegez I started the breakdown on my CM, taking it slow and photos to backup my memory. Definitely taking your advice on not rushing it.👍

    You are right. Everything needs to be checked like your life depends on it, which actually does! :-) Looking forward to see your vision about CB750

    Nice build. Good show. You may use a different grease for the driveshaft. Try Staburags NBU 30 PTM. 5g are enough for the entire driveshaft and it is not such a mess.... And yes it is cold in the garage brrrrrrrr

    Just wondering if you had the final drive powder coated. It looks like it but did you have to do any special prep for it? Thanks for any response!

    • @forthebold
      @forthebold  3 года назад

      I painted the drive as there was too much involved with stripping it for the powder coating process.

    wondering what site you use for ordering your parts? have a 1980 cb900c that i want to make into cafe racer and have not found good site yet.

    • @forthebold
      @forthebold  6 лет назад

      Anywhere and everywhere. Depends on the parts.

    • @danbenscoter6595

      any sites that you prefer? ones that you find have most stuff your looking for.

    • @forthebold
      @forthebold  6 лет назад

      Try eBay or amazon for variety. But as for moe specific parts I go to the manufacture sites. E.g. k&n for air filters, David silver for original Honda spares, cognito motto if you want custom cnc parts, motogadget if you want nice electrics. Again, depends on the specific part as building bikes you see what part you think looks best

    Hi,
    IMO red calipers would look better (like a reminder of the color of the frame).
    Keep going on !! :-D

    Love the bikes, be nice to see one finished ;) couple of questions for you...did you clear coat the cx tank, if not why not? And also what thickness sheet metal did you opt for to make the electrics box? (Bonus questions...do you drill precautionary holes in it to allow water to run out or is the location good enough to prevent any from getting in?)
    Loving your work, look forward to the next video

    • @forthebold
      @forthebold  6 лет назад

      Thanks, I will be clear coating the tanks, both bikes, I have a slight imperfection on the CX so I want to sand a tiny part down with 2000 grit before I do. The steel I use is 1mm thick, and yes, drilled a hole in the battery box, but not in the electrics tray.

    Has there ever been a bigger brake pedal on a bike?!? 😳😆😁 about a half a kilo right there hey... Are you going to go new lines for brakes? SS braids make a good difference to that system 👍

    Get rid of this terrible and dangerous rear tire, please. ContiGO isn't made form rubber it's a plastic like thing, horrible tire, slippery on wet as hell!
