Red jamuns to be broken into 2 before eating (some times there are worms inside). Remove the seed, clean the bottom part and then you can eat the whole thing.
A cooking and exploring channel best of both worlds going to goa being a foodie person making my list of spices and things to bring back quality content!
Thanks for the famous Friday Mapusa Market tour. Only thing you shld have just covered the beef, pork, chkn, mutton shops and famous eateries Xavier Cafe for treats of falooda, chicken xacuti, Auroras for Fish thali.. thanks anyway.
Loved walkingby the streets of mapusa market. We have a holiday home in querim and i always prefer visiting friday market of mapusa whenever in goa. Loved your video.
Hi ma'am, just some few things to ask if you dont mind. 1) whats the timing of friday market at mapusa. 2) I need to purchase some eatable items(sweets and other snacks) so where in mapusa to go basically. If you the shops name will be really helpful. 3) The Goan pork sauces where should we go to purchase it. What i have observed. There are packed ones that is normally found in many shops. Where to go exactly so that we can take the best quality available. 4)About spices. What are the famous spices we can get in goa other than the recheado masala. I want to take those spices back to my city home. We get those masala or spices back at my city home town but i dont find it so good at all. Also, when i went back in 2023 to goa i was kind of confused where to go search these different sections. Sorry my questions are just too big😅😅😅 But i want to keep my goa's taste in my home, so just need to know the exact things.
Hey thanks for your comment! I will try my best to answer to my best knowledge.. the market starts early in the morning but local vendors might start closing around evening (5 pm) most shops are still open. You can find sweets in the bakery section of the market, beside that are shops where you can get spices and masala such as Recheado, Cafreal, you might wanna buy a Xacuti Masala because that's unique to Goa and spices up curries beautifully
I wish.i was there I love to watch.hour videos you are always smiling you make my day. I really.really wish I could visit the mapsua bazar maybe one day god.will land.me there. As I am born in Karachi.pakistan it's very tough.to get a Visa. But I am a Canadian citizen now. Anyway please keep showing and making.me happy
You should get them in this market in early summer. There are ladies sitting with local produce. If you ask anyone in the market, they should be able to guide you :)

Goa has changed lots of migrants from other states, not many ethnic Goans left.
Good information, but these locals quote higher prices to outsiders and tourist.
Yes I’ve observed it too. Can’t be sure of the prices currently, given the covid situation
