After messing around with rock wool, peet pellets, paper towel and plastic bag method this just seems hassle free. thank you

You’re Welcome! Happy to share. I like and prefer this method too. Easy and not messy 😊.Its limited though, so far I tried it with mustard, bok Choi, cabbage & broccoli. I am yet to try with other fruiting veggies and lettuce. Keep growing!😊🌱

I do this. It is so easy to remove the seedlings for transplant. I have a new cat litter pan I use to hold the hydroton so I can start many seeds at the same time.

You're welcome! I'm glad it'll help. It also work with lettuce seeds since they are a bit delicate. Just use toilet paper on top of the pebbles. I also, made a video on that. All the best! Keep growing!🌱🙂

Can I please ask what is the point of sprouting in leca when you are going to transplant to sponge anyways? Why not just seed directly into the sponge? In any case, great video as I've learnt you can do this!

For me Ive been wanting to just keep it in the pebbles the entire time. Id use a grow tray and when the roots are long enough id transfer to an nft system whilst keeping the pebbles. Do you think this is a fine way of doing it.

At this stage the seeds themselves provide the nutrients, no need for additional provision.

Can you please tell me which type of sponges you're using here? Is it food grade? I'm searching but can't find. The collars have killed some of my plants.

I use Masterblend 4-18-38 (Ratio: 2g NPK, 2g CN, 1g ES for 1gal water) or you can use this mixing procedure too ruclips.net/video/JBvGJ1E2Jbk/видео.html
