If you add the border-spacing 40px; and it doesn't work it may be because by default border-collapse is set to collapse (when you keep going through the video and you follow Daniel as he adds border-collapse: collapse; and it doesn't do anything this is why) so to counter that you can set border-collapse: separate; then the border-spacing will kick in.

Thank you so much for this video. I am currently in a college course for Web Development and Design, and we are on the chapter about making Tables in HTML and CSS. I had watched my professors tutorials, followed along with her, and hand wrote all of what she taught and something just wasnt working right when I went ahead to do our assignment for the week. Its a Case Study in our book for a fake yoga studio, and for whatever reason the CSS wasnt working. I had stressed about this for a solid two days straight when I finally said "Alright if she isnt going to help you, RUclips might!" this was the first video I clicked and I stayed to the end to see the whole thing to figure out why it wasnt working. Turns out I had my tables css in the wrong spot! You helped me out greatly!! Thank you so much!!

Why does the last column of my table move out of place when I do padding in percents?
How do I target specific cells that use colspan or rowspan to color specific blocks a certain color? I tried using ID but it did not work.
It may have came in an earlier video, but it seems like you should have some informaiton on columns, colgroup, span, and rowspan if you're going to make a tutorial about tables.

Thank you, I'm brand new with html and css, by chance I found out if I make space between (tr) and :nth-child(even), the column will be colored instead of the row
tr :nth-child(even){
background-color:#fff;
}
tr :nth-child(odd){
background-color:#ddd;
}
the space beteen the (tr) and the colon (:) make difference

You forgot to explain the "display:table" , "display:table-cell" that you mentioned while creating the responsive website bro.. was expecting on this lesson :(
well, this looks more difficult than the other series what I mean by difficult is that it's not combined into the website rather steps for you to create it. it's good but I have a problem knowing where to place a bunch of codes or how to make it in order. how I wish this series was linked to every episode you gave so that the end product will be a whole webpage or site .
