I have a 2021, after trading in my Range Rover Velar R-Dynamic (P380). By far, the AMG is much more luxurious, though the Velar in my opinion is one of the sexiest SUVs out there. Overall I enjoy the G53, and like the model here, mine has a traditional sunroof - which may not be an issue. Rear passenger legroom is much more generous than the Velar, and in some areas the AMG just seemed more refined. Plus the AMG permits you to open the exhaust to get that crack - the Velar, even in Dynamic (and Launch) mode still purred. But the RR Sport lets out an angry exhaust note - love it. Both my Velar and my sister-in-law's GLS (with the same engine-hybrid makeup, but without the AMG tuning) have the panoramic rooves, but both make a clanking sound when the roof was opened. I never had this resolved by LR, and my brother seems to have the same response from his MB dealer's service group. I like the variety of drive modes, but if you own an AMG-tuned vehicle, you have to run it at Sport+ whenever the opportunity allows. That does drive down the mileage quite a bit, especially in city driving. Driving in the default Comfort mode I am sure will get you to that mileage that the host presents. But I will say I did a Charlotte, NC to Birmingham, AL trip on a single tank, with about an eighth of a tank left (I have heavy feet). Does help that it has a 21.5 gallon tank, but a full refill (premium only) can make you wince. Bottom line: for the driving that I do (on-road) I would choose the AMG. But if I were of the off-road type, I'd probably edge towards the Range Rover. No experience in comparing the two tractions, just my gut feeling.
Is it easy to get in and out of I have severe arthritis in hips and knees and I rely on grab bars and car that can just in too and I’m and the rest of the air suspension hollow does it go from the ground to the base
You have steering wheel control , touch screen and voice control so I'd love to see them get rid of the console touch pad and put the shifter back on the console.
YES agree plus having that touch pad so close to the cupholders something could easily spill on that track pad and that would be concerning..get rid of that center track pad and put. the geasr back there and get them off the steering wheel that is my only gripe about Mercedes right now they all have the gear modes on the steering column why?!!!
Love your videos. You have a nice personality. I have one of these on order to arrive in March or April. You only have one flaw...you hang around nutria-eating LSU fans. Roll Tide - headed to Indy. Lastly, there is a panoramic sunroof for these. My ordered one has it. Frankly, I've never seen one with a sunroof that wasn't panoramic. This unit you are reviewing is different than I've seen.
Good review, funny. I think, for the next video, we should ask the cop if he ever pulled over any motorist for neglecting the turn signal. Heh heh. I also think Mercedes probably just wants you to catch your breath before you call her name for assistance. Just saying.

Great stuff man! Been here since your McLaren 570s video and I admire your growth🚀
Thank you! I really appreciate that. Glad to have you here and glad to have had you here since the early days. 😎
Great review my friend!! This is a very beautiful ride. The rear looks really nice and the interior is just stunning with those Ambien lighting
Thank you, Tony! Happy New Year!
Mine has a panoramic sunroof. It’s a 2022.
Somebody else left a similar comment. They said they had never seen one with the conventional size sunroof such as this one has.

Was this car purchased with the exhaust package?
Looks great, but can’t touch a BMW X5 M50i for price, features or performance
It does have a panoramic roof option, you have to add it for 1k
Yes, I just got mine and the panoramic roof is fantastic!

If the vehicle doesn’t have the signature of the person building the engine, this vehicle is not a true AMG.
🙄

She got a radar detector installed. hmm I wonder why. ;)
