Is everyone designing for a “back to school” vibe? I agree a lot of releases are looking very juvenile pre-teen focused.
I really enjoy the fact that even though a lot of products didn’t work, she made it work and look great anyway

Y2K was a weird one; people wondering what would happen to computer systems when the year changed, would they recognise it as a lot of them only used two digit year format and the year 2000 was indistinguishable from the year 1900. And then nothing happened lol

I just picked up OS powder in travel to try. It’s GREAT! I might even say I like it more than Charlotte T for smoothing. Need to try it longer❤️
Those Laura Mercy a glow powder is exactly like the Jaclyn hill which I love and I cannot live without I got it in almost every shade but I’ve never tried the Laura Mercier but it looks exactly and probably I think it’s the exact same as the Jacqueline Hill luminous powder
I gotta compare them! I think JH is more luminous, but this one is more sparkly /metallic

I mix my powders 80/20. 80 % matte powder and 20% luminous powder and its beautiful!
I agree with you...a very juvenile, kids play makeup feel with the Wet and Wild Collection for sure, like I felt about the Elf Mood Tiana Major packaging of that Pallette. Cheap af. All of the eyeshadow looked more like a 70's or 80's kind of vibe to me really. So sorry you had a tough time. But it doesn't matter about the subpar products, you are Stunning as always and I love ALL of your videos! You definitely are one of my most favorite people to watch and I love ya!!! ❤❤❤
I use the Jergans face gradual tanning moisturizer every time I self tan. It doesn't make it match but significantly helps plus it doesn't break me out of feel greasy. And budget-friendly!!!!👍👍🥰💯💯

I'm oily so I don't think they would work for me but the Laura Mercier powder looked beautiful!

The loose eye shadows BM used to make when Leslie owned the company are awesome. I have a huge collection of the loose shadows. To me the company and products just haven’t been the same since Shiseido bought it.

I was in my early 20s during Y2K and we thought their would be a major software issue once the year hit 2000. Exciting times, LOL.
I love that primer I never buy anything essence bec so cheap lol but primer is so good but I do love the Patrick star primer and the Orgins but yes essence good I use a lot
Is it just me or maryam applying face products is just so satisfying
Oh and also i haven't been to a beach in 5 years ik its weird but the city i live in doesn't have a beach and but i just go to pools and they're closed pools so i haven't tanned in a very long time😭😂
I hear you, that makes perfect sense! Tanning isn't great for you anyway lol...
I love a few bare minerals face products but have never tried the eyeshadow based on things I’ve heard so ty for always keeping it a 💯

in summer i use my same foundation shade because i'm lame and cheap lol... if its tooooo light i just add more bronzer to darken up the jaw/neck area :')
i'm so bad at finishing my $40 foundations so buying a few shades of each just feels wasteful

I love Bare minerals shadows. They are everyday wearable. I stay away from “ pigmented” shadows.

I appreciate the memories that the Wet n' Wild Saved by the bell palette gives (LOVED THAT SHOW!) but the packaging is giving me kid makeup found in the toy aisle vibes. The colorpop palette is completely reminding me of how I wore my makeup back in the day, so much frost and blue...so much, I was 20yrs old during Y2K and yep wearing frost and blue! LOL. I actually still like the occasional blue I just now know how to make it work without looking like I am auditioning for Frozen. Again, I appreciate the nostalgia that these products are giving but I do feel they are better suited if one is a teenager. I will say though despite the products not working for you, WOW the look you created is beautiful! It does have that mermaid vibe so pretty!

I'm you Foundation & Skin Twin and Thank you for the primer hint and to your question on my tan Yes I tan just like you my arms get dark my chest too, my neck aaaaaa and my face is lighter and I embrace my darker shades I ordered wrong all year online. Thank God I'm every shade in the spectrum and undertone. Do you have more olive shades for Summer and More Neutral in the Winter.
I feel like the powder would be for maybe special occasions not like everyday use lol

This is my first year not tanning either body or face, covering up as well as SPF. I feel so pale, and my neck and decollete are still darker than my face, but only slightly.

Y2k was scary as hell ,, people were pulling their money from the banks,, hospitals were shutting down ,, grocery stores were sold out of everything and everyone was glued to their tvs waiting for emergency alerts ⚠️ it was definitely a scary time!! Out of all the pallettes the only one that looks like it's worth buying is the colourpop one . I wish I could remember the name of the Revlon collection that was out for y2k ,, every product was frosty ! Eyes ,, face, lips ect even the eyeliners,, we went around looking like the tin man but it was trendy then lol and now looking at the pictures and the old magazine's it's like were we high?? What were we thinking 🤔 😳
No same body tanned face white but I never get it as tanned at body just with contour and bronzer but pics always lighter face

I always match my neck and face to my body. I take foundation from face to décolleté. I’ll be 40 soon and chest shows age. I have a young looking face, so I don’t want discoloration on my chest to show my age

@@killakates this is so sweet! Made my whole day. I’d say consistent skin care am/pm, consistent exercise, and starting Botox at 32 to prevent wrinkles. I don’t use photo filters, so I can truly float in air all day after this comment.❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@Swierpdidilyerp I’m about to be 34 in a few weeks so that Botox tip is looking real good right now!! I’ve been lucky enough to have good genes so I haven’t had a real problem with aging yet but I don’t want to, either!
@@killakates right. Prevention is the key. I have some friends in their late 40s who say…. I think I need Botox. I’m thinking … yes, 15 years ago. Starts really early to prevent lines

Bare Minerals loose shadows are/were pretty pigmented, but no one likes loose shadows these days.

How do you use the Laura Mercier glow powder ? Do you have a video using it ? I picked it up and the powder foundation but it’s a bit to glowy but I want to use it 😩😂

@@tianiortiz8529 aaah yes, it's not for setting. I use it to give myself a light veil or a dusting of glow. The same way I used to light catcher one in this video

Cute look, but indeed! What a disappointment with these shadows! BM has never really impressed me for eye makeup anyways, but at least the Y2K palette is cute! The W&W is a cute theme, but i wasn't impressed with the whole collection, just a couple of pieces, the peachy blush w highlighter(relationship goals) and the Jessie lip duo. That's it. I rather not buy the collection box and just get those single pieces. Xx

Am I the only one who is not into makeup being turned into all these collabs with TV shows, food items, ext…..like has the beauty community run out of ideas that much that Carebears (although I did love them) and Spongebob Squarepants are now selling “adult” makeup. I’m so not into any of it.
