I would love to see a video from you two of the October rise festival if possible? I'd love to know if there's a shuttle or what type of transport to the event and a view from your options. Ty and keep turning up 👏 👏
Speaking of reasonably-priced buffets, I see another RUclipsr (Vegas with Shin, a new guy?) says Buffalo Bill's buffet is now open. INteresting, if their rooms are in any kind of decent shape. Maybe you and DaveTheCutiePie could check if Buffalo Bill's is being renovated. I thought they were a goner, honestly.
Las Vegas is slowly putting themselves out of business with all of these fees. To put it in perspective, in July I drove 4 hours from California to Mandalay Bay, arriving on a Wednesday and leaving on a Friday. For two nights, the basic room was $452.20 + $60.52 room tax. The resort fees were $90.00 + $12.04 resort fee tax. And finally $36.00 parking fee. So it cost me a total of $650.76 for two nights + gas, food, and time. Even though what I spent gambling would be considered significant, their players club comped 1 parking fee. That was it! Yet I can drive 20 minutes to a casino in California and parking is free, there are no resort fees, the rooms are more reasonably priced, AND for the same play everything would be comped including food (would have been the case in Vegas normally too). And most States have casinos now so Vegas needs to kick up their game to make it worth while. I personally only liked it when it was an adult disneyland but now that they've tried to make it a family friendly place I've lost interest.
that depends... as long as people around the world are still visiting, they will keep increasing fees and adding more mandatory fees (check in/out fee, housekeeping fee, security fee, credit card fee... you name it, they'll add it).
Wow you packed a lot of updates into this video. The newest MGM fee is ridiculous and so unfair to people who prefer to speak to a live person. Thanks for all the great info!
MGM is terrible! They’re the ones who first started charging all these unacceptable outrageous fees!! And then all the others followed 😡. Vegas certainly isn’t what it used to be to be.. So bummed the Mirage & volcano are goner’s. 😢
I am so glad that I experienced the old Las Vegas, prior to the year 2000, when it was truly a bargain place to visit. I would not even take a free trip there any more, too much greed.
$15 per night for booking with a person is outrageous. A one time fee of $15 would be too high. I wonder if the high Vegas prices will ever impact the number of visitors. 🤔
- TIUW - loving every new from Tanya and Dave ❤ thanks ! The new fees . sound just like the brand new prices in the stores . Wow eggs almost $ 9 a 18 pack . No vacation for me ! Overnight 😮
If the hotel charges these fees, I’m not going to Las Vegas, I used to go three times a month , that was several years ago, now I’m not going back to Las Vegas, I rather stay home, everything is going up, for those can’t afford it, stay home 😊
Do you guys have a live schedule? I’m trying to get more proactive with supporting the people that are teaching me so much. I really intend to be a special memory in your trip here if (or when you make it. I have an Airbnb and lots of tricks up my sleeve 😆😆😁❤❤❤
My son, wife, & kids moved to Henderson the end of July bc they’re tired of the rain up here in Washington!! I’ll be there on the 9th for demolition! As of now, I’ll be moving there too after my daughter’s wedding Oct 2025!! In the meantime I’m hoping to visit every month! I’m missing my son & grandkids SO much!!
I live in Washington and we don’t get rain. You must be from the coast. My son-in-law and daughter moved in the spring to Las Vegas. They live in the Centennial Hills area. We will be going down around October 1. I was there end of July till August 8. Too hot.
I was in LV last October just when the race was going to happen. If I had known that was going to be there, I would've never gone in October, which is unfortunate because I always find October weather in LV is the best. I will never ever go there in October until the race no longer takes place there.
We’ve been escaping to Vegas for many many years each September or October with our group of 20 friends often reserving a block of 10 (or more) rooms each year and spending many dollars on food, shows, drinks, spa treatments and pool cabanas. The fees have gotten so out of control along with ever increasing room rates and escalating food/drink prices that as a group we have decided we are no longer making our annual Vegas pilgrimage. Good bye Vegas, it was always fun and the memories cherished …however we will start traveling elsewhere. Thank you for what you were, may you find and return your roots one day.
More fees? Not for this senior. Been there many times. Between heat and multiple fees everywhere I’m ready for a new destination.Get your money from all the illegals out there!
Honestly, the only thing I hated about my first trip to Vegas was having to deal with F1 race prep. Everythig was blocked off, and from what I heard and saw, traffic was worse than normal. That said, I look forward to eventually going back to Vegas.
My trick is to join the players clubs and then find which ones will waive the resort fees. I have found three casino groups that when they say you get a free room, it really is free! They are…Station Casinos of which I enjoy Palace Station. Boyd properties, Gold Coast is very close to the strip and they have other casinos as well. Also, Treasure Island! Resort fees optional and if I’m not mistaken that is also on paid night rooms. Shame on MGM for that stupid fee that really discriminates against seniors in particular in my opinion. Thanks TIUW! Love your videos! Coming to Vegas next week!
I miss Vegas with all my heart but my last trip in 2021 was hard to digest. I was trying to adjust to the previous changes but that trip was frustrating and expensive! I miss when flights were cheap, I could get a decent room for $30 a night, no resort fees, $15/day rental cars, no parking fees, free shows, etc. I am searching for a new place to love.
Just booked for Nov I had to call but don’t see a fee on there… that’s BS ty for the heads up! What’s a good show besides “O” I heard the Wynn has a good one 2
Thank you so much for sharing. May we ask if you are an MGM Rewards member? We understand that they generally waive the fee if you are a Rewards member. We also believe that they will also likely agree to waive it if you ask to have it waived.
Was planning on eating at the Palms, Lobster Buffet. I have to settle for crab buffet at Westgate. Any place has Seafood Buffet at 55+ Senior Discount?
Hey are you guys doing a LIVESTREAM on the blowing up of the Tropicana OR at least do a video on it. I'm sure lots of you tubers will be doing LIVE video at 2:30 on Oct 9th. Boom Boom Boom!!! hey that was a song... Boom Boom Boom go back to my room. ok thanks for sharing guys.
Many business have gone broke by insisting on hidden fee after hidden fee! “PEOPLE ARE NOT STUPID” is something so many greedy people always forget! Las Vegas is not the only place to gamble any longer -- there are many places where people can go for a lot less money! KEEP ADDING FEES AND WAIT!
Loved going to Vegas every year - sometimes twice a year. My last visit last January will be my last. Prices are out of control. This NGM fee is insane. It's called CUSTOMER SERVICE and they are charging you for it!! No thanks. I'll miss you Vegas but you can keep your fees and $30 sandwiches (Eataly)
Wow, congratulations on your 65th! That’s exciting! We hope you have a wonderful time in Vegas!! You will see quite a bit of F1 Paddock preparation going on near Virgin.
Hear me out, The best hotel I've stayed at in Vegas is called Ahern hotel. Incredible hotel and wonderful restaurants. Although it's not in the best area it's walking distance to the monorail at Sahara. It's smoke free which we enjoyed. I highly recommend you guys check it out. When we come back to Vegas we will be staying there again. Great videos
Well, the thing about the cash vouchers is it some of the machines won’t give you change they just give you bills. So that’s a lot of cash vouchers floating around out there with $.99 and under.
@@TurnItUpWorld we will be there November 5th-10th. Were doing the usual tourist stuff like blue man, the jets, play playground, area 15, slotzilla, high roller, Superkarts and the Ka show but were trying to find some things that aren’t super mainstream, chill and laid back since we’re a family of 6 ages 27-65 🤣🤣🤣

I I have been going to Vegas for 30 years and travelling from the UK. I last went in 2023 and said I would never go back again. Post COVID was the beginning of the end of Vegas. Really enjoyed it pre 2020, prices were reasonable. Since then it has become increasingly over rated and over priced. Value for money is hard to find. We were there a week in late August, ate out only four times. Cooked all our other meals. Farewell Vegas, Bali, Fiji, Phuket, Vietnam etc. all offer far more excitement and value.
That is why , I stopped going 2 times a year that we have been doing since 1995, when it was still kinda an adult oasis. Today it is Disneyland with gambling. It is bad enough going there after spending 30%+- to buy USD, and play tight machines and now you add all these outrageous fees. If Vegas keeps up what they are doing with fees, you won’t lose the rich players, celebrities etc ,you willlosethe people who keep Vegas going the middle class who come in droves. There is. So much competition in gaming all over the world. Where I live, we don’t have to lose30+-%to buy USD, there are no taxes on winnings, no. Kids, all casinos open 24 hrs,and no smoking. We enjoyed Vegas a lot before the corporate greed took over.
Vegas was so much better when it was run by the mob. These corporations have become so greedy it is a shame. Eventyually this will catch up with them and you will see a lot of empty building on the strip soon. What a shame. Used to love the town , even wanted to move there. But that day is gone.
They may as well charge $1 / night room + $1000/night resort fee, $100/night parking fee. Shit looks good on the ads. WOW $1 a night room in a 5 star hotel.
That new MGM fee is especially heartless to their call-center staff who will be liquidated. Remember, everything a company owns has a value and asset tag, humans are all red in the books. :(
While I'm not a supporter for Organized Crime, NONE of these fees would ever happen under any of the Mafia's watch when they ran Vegas...We introduced shareholders to the game and everyone got crazy. I'm hoping East Coast and Down south casinos make a huge push and knock some sense into Vegas.
If this much money can be thrown around for demolition, rebuilding, new hotels, fancy attractions, and Hollywood coming to town, is there any land masses left in Vegas/surrounding areas, and why is there homelessness and hunger in America? Otherwise, great content for my 2nd and probably only trip to Vegas next year.

The ‘live’’ person to speak with fee is absurd !
What about seniors who may have difficulties, or disabled persons ???
Yes, we agree. We will have to see if this is something MGM sticks with. Thanks for watching!
Actually the airlines have done this for years. Maybe $50?
They figure those 2 groups don't spend enough money to begin with. They want all the young people with their credit cards in hand.
It won't affect us too much.
Our Vegas home away from home is the El Cortez downtown. We seldom go near the strip, we go into the community instead.

Thanks Jame for pointing out that it was recently canceled. When we filmed this video, the cancellation had not yet been announced.
Yet where is the mayor n the law makers? THEY DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO FIX THIS.
I love your voice!
F1 racing is definitely not an American sport..... Las Vegas will soon see that nobody in America wants to see F1 RACING
That new MGM fee is especially heartless to their call-center staff who will be liquidated. Remember, everything a company owns has a value and asset tag, humans are all red in the books. :(
This is why the Indian Casinos have become so popular in California. One fee after another…
I can't wait to go back to vegas
While I'm not a supporter for Organized Crime, NONE of these fees would ever happen under any of the Mafia's watch when they ran Vegas...We introduced shareholders to the game and everyone got crazy. I'm hoping East Coast and Down south casinos make a huge push and knock some sense into Vegas.
Agreed!
Why do they throw away all that beautiful greenery. Give it to people
Is it possible to get a sticker of yours?
Things always changing. That’s why I love Vegas.🎉
Used to go 3 times a year. Now ounce over all the junk fees
You all know resort fees are illegal but never prosecuted. Maybe a few class actions would put them in their place.
Google said it's legal in Vegas 😢. I need to research more. I'd gladly join a class action suit.
Yea i started going to Laughlin and i wont be back to vegas
Does Laughlin still have buffets?
@@vegasdanielsperegon 2 and there descent...... Make that 3 the avi Wich I've never been to has one
@@lukeford5970 Thank you.
Gotta say- short of hopefully running in to you guys, LV has just gotten too "hidden-feeish" for my taste.
Will be there for G2E in October staying at MSS
