Oh I hope you're okay! I would suggest you to go on walks, cuddle and clean your horse. Just be comfortable with each other and get a good connection. If it feels right, you can lunge your horse. Or lunge your horse with you on it. Then there is another person with you for reassurance and can control your horse. Just build it up❤️
once the new horse comes, a video introducing all the horses at your stable, their ages, personality, disciplines etc would be a great idea!
