Thank you for making & posting this video. Looks like a winning recipe.

If by winning recipe you mean melt the hair out of your nose, it is that. Works like a charm, but it's not pleasant to apply.

That was a great video and extremely helpful. I've had so much deer destruction in the past year. Things they have never eaten in the 22 years I have lived here. Such a bummer. They are so tame you can get very close to them. They can have my whole apple tree to theirselves if they would just leave the other plants alone! 😉👍

Thanks, but where's the follow up video you promised?

You are absolutely right Linda. I'm afraid life got in the way. As soon as we're done with our chicken coop build, I'll circle back to this with a follow-up. Thanks for the reminder!

I am wondering if this stuff burn plants because of the garlic.
I have tried some repellents, one stinks and helped for a year, this year they are eating my flowers with or without repellent.
Thanks for the video, of course I am going to try this.

I wouldn't think so Aida. I've sprayed it on plants and haven't seen any ill effects. That said, might make sense to test it on a small area first. Best of luck!

Did it work? I heard that dear spray never works.

Oh yeah. It works. I think the problem most people have is that they apply repellent once and expect it to last forever. It doesn't. The recipe I came up with seems to hold on pretty well, but re-applying every few weeks, or after a heavy or prolonged rain will get you good results.
One other caution, this stuff STINKS. The commercial products I've tried in the past have an odor. But after this mixture has ripened for a few weeks, the smell is horrific. Fades a little after a couple of hours. But if you have neighbors nearby, I'd apply it when they're not home. Unless of course you don't like your neighbors. Oh, and stay upwind when you're spraying it if you want your wife to come anywhere near you. :)

You can just buy garlic juice the Department of Natural Resources was coming into the store where I was working and they were buying all of it because they said it kept the deer away. I don't understand why you couldn't have added moron to the video of how to use it that's the whole reason why we wanted to watch the video not just to get the recipe but how did you apply it and how much?

I'm in, but where do you buy gallons of garlic juice, and how much is it? As far as application, I use a pump sprayer, and wet the leaves. They don't have to be dripping; just wet then down. Make sure you re-apply every couple of weeks and after any significant rainfall. And (this is most important), don't spray once the fruit has set. You don't want any of this stuff on any part you're actually going to eat. Trust me.
