Ricki played a great match! It's not over yet! :) If she meets Tokido again she'll still have to deal with that ridiculous corner pressure and d-flip shenanigans. Capcom will probably do something about Akuma with the release of AE though, just watch. Chun Li might even get a small buff after they see *this* match. I sure hope to see more of Ricki's Chun during the next season, so much fun to watch! :3

Infer I'm not saying he isn't intimately familiar with the character, of course he's as well practiced as any other top player. But you can't deny that Akuma is significantly stronger than Chun li, and most of the roster for that matter.

Yep, the fact she took a round of tokido means she has a chance. HE is the 2nd highest ranked and he even beat punk putting him as pseudo 'best in world'. I don't think she's going to be champ but think she can take a few matches.

People like myself and all of the FGC community who have respect call Ricky a she because that is what she wants to be so out of respect we all call her a she or female terms.
Edit: She is really good even winning some top tournaments around and even being in finals of last years capcom cup and I think won one another major tournament beating out the japanese players. She got skills, I mean here she is in the top 32 best SF5 players in the world due to being runner up in 2016 capcom cup.

Ricki did great, it's not her problem, it's that Chun-Li is a character you can't afford to drop a single combo or a single mistake, it'll lead you to your death. Hopefully she got some real buff in season 3.
I really do respect Ricky for sticking with chun li, in season 2 she became more of underutilized character. I still think chun li is a strong contender and I think Ricky played really well.
