As someone who read the manga this song is like a ballad of words between Sherlock and William. Some scenes from the manga were cut in the anime, even lines from the bridge scene but this song encapsulates Sherlock's desperate plea to Liam to live, which is beautiful

He said something along the lines of William choosing the thorniest path if he really wants to atone and not run away(by dying) and that he himself(Sherlock) is also a criminal now since he killed someone, and that they should atone together. There are other parts but its best if you read it instead of getting spoiled
