    Hi Karin, interesting video, even though I don't own any of the plants referred, to I've learnt some little bits I can apply to other orchids....we never stop learning in this hobby of growing orchids. Thank you for taking us along in this repot session.

    Hej, I remember this challenge too. I think a YTer from Spain started it and sent one to Roger and MOG. Only saw an update from Roger some time ago. His plant is still quite small. The spanish YTer stopped posting and I forgot his name.
    Anyway your lowii is the 2nd biggest I ever saw. Somebody sold his oversized plant on our local market place, Dont remember the price but it was a bargain and the seller complained that it never had flowered for him, so he finally got tired of it. And no, I didn't buy it, simply too tall.
    I also stopped making holes in plastic pots as I'm fed with all the roots which choose to grow out of the thinyest holes and I have to cut the pots open and throw it away ☹Many regards and happy growing!

      Good morning! 🌸 yes a guy from Barcelona I think..watched a few of his videos ( I think ) maybe the plants he sent looked like my rossii which is not growing very fast at all compared to my lowii. Just woke up, wairing for the heatwave to come today as well. We had over 30 degrees yesterday, it said 29 but we had 32. Tomorrow its time for the orchid show, this year not at the botanical fardens but it will be nice anyways, orchid art exhibition will be held there as well. We're soooo excitet to go there 😁🌸 hopefully a few more plants

      @@KarinsOrchids Yes, the guy was from Barcelona.
      Have fun at the show. With these temps you will be lucky to get a sniff of the scented flowers. When our annual show takes place end of Feb. only Herr Alexander smells, and this year the Rhincostylis too, but the others... nothing.

    It’s so cool that you have both rossii and lowii! I’ve been looking for rossii forever, no luck but I did just recently stumble upon Dimorphorchis Double Identity, a new SVO cross of rossii x lowii! Fingers crossed this means faster growth rate 🤞🏾😂 I really like your Arachnis! I think I may have a new bucket list orchid 🤔 Have a great weekend! Thanks Karin 😁

      @@OrchidboyTroy Hood luck with the primary hybrid of yours! Interesting to see how its blooms will turn out! My rossii is now bak into root growth whilst the lowii isn't. Its nice with something else than miltonias and phalaenopsis in a collection 😁 Happy you found this video! Have a lovely day

    The cattleyas potting was very helpful. I have a few that are rescues from a friend and it’s hard to know how to give them a chance to live. I don’t have a setup like yours but I have an indoor grow tent that maintains 70-80% humidity. Do you think that would be humid enough?

    • @KarinsOrchids
      @KarinsOrchids  Месяц назад

      @@lindaannb Hi there and thank's! Well, too humid will often times lead to rot but with a little fan added I think It will be a great solution! You're the first to mention the cattleya but I guess most viewers in general only watches the first 5 minutes of a video so thank you once again and good luck with your project now! 🌸🌸🌸
