It’s more like when you’re learning an additional language, you tend to pay more attention to the rules and differences between each language. When you’re a native speaker, you tend not to think about it as much. Also I’m pretty that Shu is at least ethnically Japanese

@@iPancake3 I heard from somewhere than most native Japanese would fail the JLPT N1 exam because it tests on so many archaic japanese words and sentences that are now out of use in every day life. However, there are foreigners who passed the test but struggle to engage in every day conversation because informal speech have evolved so far from the language in the textbook
