Wow! This video is crafting gold 😃 Thank you for sharing all of this advice! My five items would be, glue gun with glue sticks, set of paint brushes, silicone mat, assorted beads, and my jewelry tools.
So happy to see this video. I will be creating my new craft room (from a bedroom) in the next few months. So this video showed up at the right time. I won't be needing 1/2 the items you mentioned...however your "must have" will make it. Thanks Courtney love your videos.
Thank you Courtney.. I can’t wait for the day I finally get a house and have a craft room. My husband drives semi and I am with him 24/7 it has been beautiful seeing the country but being in the truck for 7 yrs I’m ready to have a house. I really enjoy watching the mystery box crew.. And have so many ideas from all of you.. looking forward to the Nextel video 😁Thank you for everything you do.
I absolutely love how you and Whitney are always in sync with your videos ❤ and thanks so much for sharing this, I'm pretty new to crafting so trying to get my arsenal and stash built up and this is so helpful ♥️♥️♥️
Lots of great info, but thanks especially for the easy-to-understand info on the difference between diode and CO2 laser cutters. A laser cutter is definitely on my wish list, and your explanation was very helpful!
What a helpful video. The list is very helpful. So glad to know your favorites, bc while I am a Crafter, I do not have a lot of tools or equipment, esp. the expensive ones. I definitely need a few of these tools & the rest are wants & wish list items. I will be waiting to hear a future video w/ recommendations of what you mentioned. I respect your opinion, bc you are much more experienced in using more things. I am newer to some of these items, & have never used some of them, but I want to upgrade my craft stash. At this point, I would have to say, a glue gun, rolling fabric cutter, a Dremel, multi tool & the soap w/brush for my Apocalypse Bag. I def want to get faux sprinkles, Gorilla glue & turn key, (I currently use E6000, but I'm not crazy about the smell), a silicone matt, & the Table plug w/clip would really help & be handy for how my.place is set up. There are a few other things on this list, I'd like to get eventually as well. I do have an Awl, & yes, it def comes in handy ! My biggest 2 problems are lack of funds & limited storage space at home. I'm in a sm. Studio & the 1 beds. here & elsewhere are not any bigger, just a different placement of where the wall is between the kitchen & or LR or BR in Elderly/Disabled HUD Housing. I do have a Storage Unit I pay for Down Town, but I have No Vehicle now & have to shop & travel by bus w/my wheel cart to transport my Seasonal & Holiday things back & forth to storage. It is getting to be a bit much w/Winter Weather & Snow at my age transporting it all. Trying to work on certain things is hard w/limited space. I have a sewing machine that hasn't been used in yrs. that I want to start using again. That Table Clip Outlet/Charger Station will come in real handy for that, glue gun& other tools. Oh, & a heat gun, I could use as well. My Biggest Wish here is : The Cricket, but I love the alternative to that you mentioned for some projects & the sm. Item to make other things (stickers, etc.)? That looked like a handy little item to have. Thanks so much for this video. I'm Looking for a Valentine Crafts Video of yours next. Take Care & God Bless You.❤️😃
This is one my of my favorite videos you do every year. I love to see what you are using and liking. I've got a few things I want to pick up! Thanks, Courtney!
I wouldn't call myself a crafter although I do generally come into my own at christmas time. I have 2 glue guns and a sewing machine. I love making something out of nothing so I don't generally buy items to craft. I've made a lot of things with salt dough, air dry clay etc. I'd love some of the equipment that you're mentioning but I daresay they're all just a pipe dream to me. Love your channel, you've given me some great ideas. Thank you so much for sharing x.
I watched your video a couple of weeks ago and got some great tips and ordered a few things. Fast forward to last week when I had to make some posters for my future grand daughter's baby shower over the weekend...your glitter vinyl weeding tool was a godsend! Talk about a life changing instrument for my sanity! The fine tip is exactly what I needed to help get some small (teeny tiny) pieces of vinyl. One of my friends asked me how I managed some of my words and I showed her the tool. Did a quick demonstration....and she was just as thrilled to learn about it and use it. Can not thank you enough!!
I have the top 5. I don't have an awl but I do have an ice pick, works the same. I do have a lot of the items. I do not have a sublimation printer, or laser, maybe someday.
Love seeing what tools/accessories/supplies that you like to have on hand. I actually have bought some of them -- based on your recommendations and I love them (lady bug vacuum & miter shears especially). Also like seeing gadgets that I can gift to my crafty daughter, so keep those tips coming! Tools that I can't live without besides the vacuum & shears are my Exacto knife, clear plastic ruler with a metal edge and my score board. Can't wait to see your "new" craft room reveal!
Thank you so much for this video and making shopping so easy!! I'm a new follower and can't get enough of your videos, and watching your challenge videos opened up my world to so many amazing, creative people. I can go down the rabbit hole for hours. I have always been somewhat crafty, but the recent passing of both my parents really opened up my creative side. It's my comfort. I can just play you in the background and you and the other crafters are really helping me through this time. You are so creative and very inspiring!! Thank you for what you do!
My apocalypse items are: #one my sharpest shears, small& big..#2)Beads3) Crochet Hooks#3)Yarn&Plarn#4)*Hot Glue Guns& Sticks&Mat #5)Stretch Magic Cord#6)Rotary Cutter& Mat #7)*Large Safety Pins&Sewing Needles#8)Reader Glasses & Magnifying glass,#9)Paint brushes especially the thin ones for fine small details&paints#10) Drawing Pencils ..😂❤
Love it! 😊 Would you consider doing a video on rotary tools and all the way to use them for crafting? I got one as a gift and it came with all kinds of extra bits and wheels but not a lot of info on how to install or use them. Thanks!!!
Hello, Courtney! I hope you are doing well!🙏❤️ I am going to order the awl! I'm always needing a good pointy tip tool. It is in my Amazon cart!😁Thank you, Courtney! I just received the mini heat press for Christmas from my husband!😊❤️ I have several items that you recommend in my Amazon cart!😊 Thank you so much for sharing your recommendations! I really appreciate you for the hard work & inspiration!❤ Great video! I look forward to your craft room tour & organization tips & ideas! As always, stay safe, healthy, and positive! God bless you and your family !🙏❤️🇺🇸😊
Thank you soooo much for this video. I needed to see and hear this video. I sm retired and have fibromyalgia and I enjoy crafting. I am a budgeted income so you have helped me with some ideas which I do have most of this items except the Cricut maker I have cricut air expressions 2 and the cricut joy plus. The bigger items are too costly right now. But I thank you sweet lady for this video I am a new subbie. Be blessed
Welcome, thanks for subscribing! I'm glad the list could be of some help to you! If you have additional questions about recommendations, feel free to email me at creativeonthecheap@gmail.com
I was very pleased to see one of my all time favorite products on your list! Undo! I’ve used it since it first came on the market almost 20 years ago! It’s a great scrapbooking tool. Really enjoyed this video! Thanks for sharing
You left out good scissors in your bag. Mine would have to have my fabric scissors, craft scissors, glue gun, cutting mat and rotary cutter. I’m a quilter and crafter. Love these great product suggestions and all your great ideas! Can’t wait to see what 2024 has in store.
This was such an amazing video. I have about 15 items in my Amazon cart now, which I can share with people as my wish list. Thank you for doing this. My apocalypse bag would include the precise tip glue gun (I'm assuming we also take all our glue sticks) , my heat gun, mitered sheers, mini heat press. I'm also a crocheter so I'm packing my hooks in a canvas zipper bag , small skeins of yarn. I know it's more than 5 but I just couldn't leave out my crochet hooks. Thanks again for the video and the supply list you recommend.
Thank you for much so much for sharing about the miter shears. I have been using them since I started watching you and I love them you have so many good ideas. Thank you for sharing ❤
Thank you so much for this very helpful video. I've always loved crafts/crafting but never felt talented enough. I've been practicing this past year & have great feed back. I never knew I had talent !!! Still learning as all crafters do. Thanks for all your videos & helpful insight❤
Really appreciate you doing this video again. I wrote things down last year to get and I wrote different things down this year to get. It helps alot. Take care and God Bless y'all always
Thank you for this video it was very helpful!!! I'm only what would be called a "Hobby Crafter" But I will be adding some of the tools you recommended, to my tool collection!!! As far as my top 5 favorite tools, that is hard for me, being a "Hobby Crafter" but my number one favorite is my Surebonder detail tip glue gun!
Glue gun for sure. A rotary cutter and mat (counts as one, right?). My Cricut Joy and vinyl (also counts as one since they are stored in the same box😀). My X-acto knife (from my paste up days as a graphic artist). A pair of the Cricut scissors, they are so sharp. Great video. Excited to see what projects you will be doing on the CO2 laser.
Great Great Great! Love this. I see people who during there videos mention what tool or item is good but I didn't write it down. Here it's in one place. Thank you! ❤️U
Thank you Courtney. I would have to have my glue gun, scissors, paints, Cricut explorer 3. Loved the video. T4S, and the essentials guide. You are an amazing crafter and woman. Love your DIYs. Love the challenges too.👍❤
Collette from blessings craft therapy suggests using a needle in a mechanical pencil as a good weeder. I don't have a cricut but it sounds like something good to try.
This was such a useful video. I try to watch crafters and see what they are using but this was such a help. I will be getting several of your recommendations. Thank you
Thank you. I wish I had room for the craft supplies you mentioned. Ok, apocalypse tends bring to mind total chaos and no power sooooo, any power tools would to have a non electric alternative, right😅? I know I’ve that of kitchen supplies in those terms. Paint, brushes, paper, canvas or wooden blanks. Scissors, miter shears, craft knife with blades, lol.
Hey there Courtney! Greetings from snowy and cold TN! Awesome job on the video AND the amazing craft guide!! That’s a wonderful way for anyone who is new to crafting (from any country,) to find awesome tools and supplies. You have a couple of tools that I have never seen and really need to add-a micro weeding tool?? Man, I totally need that!! Had no idea they existed and that will certainly be worth the money. I’m looking forward to your organization video. Just finished watching Whitney’s and saw some things I could do in my workspace. I know you’ll have plenty of ideas, too! Thanks for sharing with all of us. ((Hugs!!))
Love watching your videos! I hope to get a Cricut Joy this year. I'm a quilt maker, so I'd want mostly that kinda stuff 😊..idk, too many supplies to choose!!😮
I stumbled across your channel and am now a subscriber! Loved the content of this video so I’m sure I’ll love your craft videos. Thanks so much for tips, tricks, etc. and the PDF. Am going to subscribe to your newsletter as well. Have a great night. xo❤xo
Hi Courtney, I love your videos sooooo much!!! I was looking at the tumblers and beer can glasses on Amazon and it doesn't say anything about them being sublimation blanks. Can you confirm they really are because I don't want to accidentally purchase the wrong thing. Thanks
Courtney, I love all of the items you shared here that you use, my husband says you Courtney, along with a few other RUclips Creators have created a MONSTER lol meaning myself!! Funny thing is I have almost all these items you have. Except for the Laser Printer, Circuit Joy, and there was one other item, but I forgot what it was!! Lol thank you for always putting out such awesome DIYs!! Now I just need to heal my body from a recent hip replacement and a really messed up back!! But I'm sure praying I will get there! But early this coming Spring I'm going to have a massive Garage Sale and a lot of my craft supplies my husband thinks I need to get rid of. But if I feel better I'm gonna want most of what I have to make a profit, by selling the items I do make!! ❤❤😊
Your video was full of great info. My new fave device is the tube squeezer. But I will also have to check out some of the other items you mentioned that will be new to me. -Sarah
Hi Courtney: Love the video and all the tool information. I have a question. I looked up the Epson printer you talked about and linked as a sublimation printer and everything I've read states that it is a regular printer. I know you can convert the Epson printers, but you said you didn't convert it...that yours was a sublimation printer. Could the link or the description be a mistake? I was really interested in checking it out if it was a sublimation printer. Could you let me know if yours is a different one. Thanks in advance.
Love the video. I thought about buying a photo printer so i could print out photos from home for my craft projects. I work 3rd shift and have trouble getting to the store before they close. Do you have a recommendation for a good photo printer? ❤
Wow! This video is crafting gold 😃 Thank you for sharing all of this advice!
My five items would be, glue gun with glue sticks, set of paint brushes, silicone mat, assorted beads, and my jewelry tools.
I always take my glue gun to weddings, in case I have to repair the decorations on the gift box. I also repaired a flower girls dress with it. Nancy
This video is a treasure trove for beginning crafters like me 💜 thank you so much
So happy to see this video. I will be creating my new craft room (from a bedroom) in the next few months. So this video showed up at the right time. I won't be needing 1/2 the items you mentioned...however your "must have" will make it. Thanks Courtney love your videos.
I can’t find the table top vacuum on here that’s brilliant I need that for university going back to art school adult learner

Thank you for all the good info. Which cricut would you suggest for a first time user
If you are mostly wanting it for vinyl and paper projects, the Explore 3 is a great one!
Love the video. I thought about buying a photo printer so i could print out photos from home for my craft projects. I work 3rd shift and have trouble getting to the store before they close. Do you have a recommendation for a good photo printer? ❤
Did you check the links in the description box?
If you click the one that says "crafting printer", you'll see that it's a photo printer.👍🏻
I just got a sublimation printer. Do you have any video on sublimation?

I have tried 2 or 3 different brands of miter shears and they both wouldn’t cut butter. I prefer the tin snips!!
Oh no! I have Gartol miter shears and they work great.
Love this video ❤
Thank you so much.
You're welcome!

Just another comment on the torch paste. You use a very light coat so it really lasts!
