1982, Ljubljana, World Weightlifting Championships, men 75kg. The two bulgarian weightlifter set up 6(!) world record in 75kg category. It's unique in history of olympic weightlifting.
Mincho Pashov:
snatch: 150; 157,5X; 157,5X
clean and jerk: 195; 207,5(WR); 208,5(WR)
total: 357,5kg, 2nd place
Yanko Rusev:
snatch: 152,5; 157,5X; 157,5
clean and jerk: 200; 205(total WR 362,5kg); 208(WR); 209(WR)
total: 365kg(WR), 1st place

Weightlifting was at it's prime in the 1980s.
According to the rules of that time, weightlifters could receive
the 4th attempt for setting a record.
After the second attempt of Pashov on 207.5 kg, he could not
receive given a regular attempt on 208.5 kg. Attempt to this weight was
considered the 4th (additional).
The Yanko Rusev attempt on 209 kg was the 4th (additional too).
Pashov's attempts - (1) 195 (2) 207.5 (3) ---------- (4)
208.5Rusev's attempts - (1) 200 (2) 205.0 (3) 208.0 (4) 209.0
Old records: C&J - 260.0 kg, Total -360 kg
New records: C&J - 207.5, 208.0, 208.5, 209.0 kg
Total -362.5, 365 kg
Согласно правилам того времени, спортсмен может получить 4-ю попытку
(дополнительную)
для установления нового рекорда.
После второй попытки Пашова на 207,5 кг он не мог получить зачетную
попытку на 208,5 кг. Подход на этот вес считался четвертым
(дополнительным).
Подход Янко Русева на 209 кг был четвертым (также дополнительным).
Подходы Пашова - (1) 195 (2) 207,5 (3) --------- (4) 208,5
Подходы Русева - (1) 200 (2) 205,0 (3) 208,0 (4) 209,0
Старые рекорды: толчок - 260.0 кг, сумма -360 кг
Новые рекорды: толчок - 207.5, 208.0, 208.5, 209.0 кг

В моем посте (выше) допущена ошибка - Старый рекорд в толчке - 206.5 кг
Не совсем понял, почему попытка на 208.5 у Пашова не считалась бы зачетной. Дело в том, что этот вес из-за округления так же считался равным 207.5?

Whatever happened to Pashov? He fell off the radar.Did he get injured? I remember Varbanov ruling the 75kg division from the mid 80s on.
He was working in the police years ago, now unknown.
@@kppteam Mincho Pashov passed away on November 15, 2019 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
He was 58 years old. R.I.P.!
In the Old days you got a 4th attempt only after setting a record? Or in order to set a record?
