The Building Safety Act What do I need to know? Jon Vanstone & Richard Waterhouse

The Building Safety Act has been created to provide residents and homeowners with more rights, powers and protection; making homes safer across the country. This webinar, hosted by the BBA with guest speakers Jon Vanstone and Richard Waterhouse, has been put together to help clarify things a little more.
In the wake of the Hackitt review, and receiving Royal Assent in April 2022, the construction industry is set to witness the biggest change within building safety in over 40 years, impacting most, if not all players, within the construction supply chain. This overhaul of building and safety regulations will now require players across the construction supply chain to demonstrate safety at 3 critical construction gateways:
- Design/planning;
- Construction; and
- Occupation.
Through close monitoring by the newly established regulators, the industry is set to adapt and learn new, safer ways of doing business.
But what does that mean for the players involved within the construction space?
