- In this video I will show you the new 17 up Chin Spoiler from Advanblack. you can get this color matched to your bike by visiting www.advanblack... . This chin spoiler is designed to fit the M8 motors on the touring models from 2017 to current. We also carry the chin spoilers for 2009 to 2013 and the 2014 to 2016 models. This will fit with the factory fender and a 21 and with Lower vented fairings. There will be even more room if you upgrade to the 21" wrap front fender if you are running a 21" wheel.

They don’t tell you this but you have to remove the oil cooler cover before installing the chin spoiler. It will not fit over that piece. Also, do not over-tighten when installing. The chin spoiler is over priced but looks sharp!
You are correct.,.,.you cannot put a cover over a cover.

No metal grill as the other chin spoilers offered by Advanblack? I was really looking forward to the release, but really surprised the metal grill was not included. Not enough room to add a metal grill? For the cost, I am weighing both for looks and a little protection for the radiator. Unfortunately, the cost does not add up for me, but with a grill included this chin spoiler would have been worth the price! :) Thanks Steve, excellent video as always!

I was taking my advan chin spoiler off. Easy enough right. Well, I unfortunately have the stud screwing out with the nut.
I was wanting to install my Some9customs led kit and I’m wondering if the stud threads are a molded nut or ABS threads?
I can’t remember and it fits nicely with my 21” front tire and stock SG fender. No clearance issues.
I also installed the 08-13 lowers. With minor trimming for rear brake reservoir and clearing the frame rails.
I don’t like the radiator style of the 17+ lowers.

I’ve just got me one of these. When fitting the bolt is not square with the bracket on the frame. Am I missing something or fitting it wrong?
I would love to get it. But damn $360 is a little high for that little piece with no grill. Have to thin about it. But would be a badass addition.
We are pretty far under market on price. Check around for chin spoilers painted online...A similar one from a direct competitor unpainted is 325, and add paint for lets say amber whiskey..pretty standard color..another 225. Do you remove the stock black plastic cover over the oil cooler or does the chin spoiler go over top the stock black cover?
Same question for me as well. It doesn’t seem to fit over it. Took it off and new chin spoiler is def not big enough to slip over

Will it work on a 21 street glide Special with the mid mount engine guard? The engine guard looks like it crosses the frame where the chin spoiler will be mounted
Do chin spoiler reduce air flow to the oil cooler iv seen most of them have mesh or plastic cut outs covering the oil cooler 🤔
no..actually the opposite..it forces air straight the oil cooler.

I have a 19 RG special do you have the remove the plastic guard on the oil cooler ?
Yes you cannot put a cover over a cover.
Would this work with the fan assisted oil cooler installed? There are other covers that don’t that’s why I’m asking.
What kind of drill is that being used in the other videos that unscrews so fast?
Just bought one for 17 road glide and the screw is low and won’t line up with opening what am I doing wrong

Looking to add this spoiler to a 2020 road glide special. Will this work with a wide tire kit?
I am confused…do the lowers actually have to come off OR can I simply loosen the strap at the bottom of each and pull it over and away a bit as you suggested in the video?
We install them with the lowers on and simply loosen the bottom strap and nudge them over.
Very nice spoiler. Question, how many amps is the owner running to power all those speakers. Also which one and how many watts?
2x Cerwin Vega B52 2 channel amps 250 watts per channel RMS , Fairing and lowers together and lids and tweeters together
So do these come with the grill inserts ?
The 17 and up do not come with a mesh grill.

yes...you cannot install a cover over a cover.
So 21inch wouldn’t work?
yes you can run a 21 with this spoiler

Yes..the bike in the video has a stock fender on it

I have harleys chopped engine guard on my 17 SG, will it fit?
Yes..this has nothing to do with the engine guard itself. It will mount the same on the frame even if you remove the engine guard.

No...it is designed for the full guard. The chopped guard goes right in the middle of where this mounts.

Do they fit a sport glide
No..these are made for the touring models
I have a 2020 Streetglide Special with HD branded lower fairings and thanks for the heads up about having to remove the lowers but when re installing the lowers are they still in their natural position or do you have to spread the lowers out in order to get the chin spoiler to fit ? I also ordered a 19” wrapper front fender and I think this chin spoiler will complete the look I’m going for
I don’t want to have to move the lower fairings outward because if I accidentally drop the bike I’d prefer the front crash bar absorb the hit not my lowers

I give you some advice. Don't drink whisky when out on a ride. Keep ya from dropping the bike. Also Don't get your add on parts thru HD they cost a small fortune. These guys and a couple of other outfits sell them for about half the price. Picked mine up for $360 painted.
What ive done to my 2019 roadglide special is this. Fat bagger Inc 16" bars, TAB zombie stage 1, 6 speaker Rockford fosgate sound system with after market lowers. That was right off the gate when I bought my bike in 2020 with 3000 miles.
Just this last week I bought advanblacks 21" wrap fender and chin.. I also purchased a 21" RC components savage eclipse wheel, matching rotor, and air cleaner.
Might go after market suspension next year.
2nd bike I've owned and I'll never buy another.
I assume it won’t work with a water cooled head bike ?
The only issue I see mounting this to your bike is the lowers. Its a tight fit and the lowers need to be nudged out a little bit like I showed in the video.
Advanblack have you tested it to see if it will fit over the water pump ?
The website says it will not fit liquid cooled bikes.... dang. Been waiting for a liquid cooled chin spoiler since the first video Steve put up on chin spoilers.
