You could put this in a window... Seperate the hot and cold sides, have your hot air dumped outside and then your just circulating the same air cooler and cooler... Shouldn't be to hard
Almost, it'd be fine for blowing cool air at your face, but you need to duct the warm air outside to achieve room cooling and collect and dispose of condensate to reduce uncomfortable humidity. As it stands, you're just slightly heating the room up. If you're after ductless air conditioning, with something so small you could probably use water heat exchangers and dump the heat into a domestic hot water tank. The downside is you'd have to collect and store/drain condensate rather than evaporate it on the heat sink and blow it out the exhaust. Peltiers are cool (no pun intended), but there are also other possibilities for home made air conditioners, such as stirling coolers or turbo expanders.
The only good thing about this is the moving vane at the bottom. Given the "cooler" doesn't in fact work, I'd suggest you put wheels on it and repurpose the device to pick up dog turds in the backyard.
One way to improve the efficiency of the Peltiers is to make water blocks and place them on the hot side. Then add a water tank and pump and make a radiator using copper tubing to take out the heat. Put the tank, pump and radiator in your own realistic condenser unit!
It is just like fun...there is no ventilation process in your machine... And also two peltier module are not enough to cool the circumstances...so it will be totally useless...
An excellent project However I noticed 4x 6 amp peltiers (total 24 amp) and the power supply looks to be to 10 amp? Where is the temperature sensor placed to get those readings? The heat exhaust is venting in to the top of the box and the small air holes would be insufficient to move the volume of air the fans need. So it would become hot and ineffective.
It would be ineffective even if it had bigger cooling holes because the hot air stays inside his room and considering that a peltier cooler always creates more heat than cool air due to inefficency of converting the electric energy entirely into the heat exchanging process, it actually heats up your room. This is a scam.
For best results we should use 200watt peltiet module and an heavy power supply nearly 12volt and 6-10am + a big heatsink size should 9×9 cm. Use this idea your cooler will give cooler air
@@MichaelFlatman agreed, I just meant the excess heat doesn't need to vent into the room. For the time and money invested here I would say a box fan and a window would be just as effective.
I must say the finish and finesse is excellent. And it will work good as an outside personal air conditioner. For inside though, please come up with a good vent out design for the hot side.
If you put the temperature probe on heatsink, sure you will get around 10°C. Cool air? After many testing normally just get 3° cooler then ambient temperature.
AC ca be made using peltier, 100% possible but would require 56 peltier (12706) surface conduction area approximately 200 square inches , its performance will meet 2 Ton AC. 01 (12706) peltier takes 3.5 amp . 56 will take 196 Amp 56*3.5=196*12v=2352 watts and 200 Watts for blowers, total load 2552 Watts. However thermal insulation is critical point. it will obviously save energy with smart and quite design, no noise, no starting heavy current, no motor induction losses and no wear parts. it will roughly cost 250$ in Pakistan, India and bangladesh
Ok, there is a little design flaw... the hot air from the upper heatsinks is permanently mixed with the cool air, so maybe you should have put the divider a bit lower, so that some sort of vent out of the house can take this hot air...
Your Air Conditioner is useless unless you channel the hot air outside of your room. A peltier cooler has a pretty low efficiency which means the electricity you put in it can only exchange some of the heat on the one side to the other, the excess electricity is converted to thermal energy on the hot side, which means it actually heats up your room rather than cools it. Yes, it shows a lower temperature on the thermometer, but thats only because it measures the temp locally in the unit. If you would measure in the room, the temp would rise over time.
"Air Out" means air outside !!! Which means duct it outside , which means those fans can't handle that !!! BUT the idea / science beats watching Tv for the curious !!!!
How can it cool in less time without compression of air ? 12.5Deg c is it real .? With just Two motor fans and taking air and circulating in the same chamber how temperature is reduced?
this idea would be better for refrigerator as pelitier modules don’t remove enough btus to cool a room.. a 5000 btu is what you need to cool a small room and for this you’d maybe get 70-80 btus if you found a way to vent the exhaust out which is good for a spot cooler but for the price of building something like this might as well buy a room air conditioner.. i’d like to see this in portable refrigeration.
There is no venting of heat generated by the peltier... . how come will it work if you are not venting the hot air...the heat. Will remain in the room.
The AC's cold air is going in same room in which the heat of the peltier module 's heat is released using cpu fan so room temperature will be normal i.e. not cold nor hot by the way the thermometer shows the temperature inside the AC that too near the output where the cold air is relaeased

Aman Pandey Watch closely, as he didn't mention, he made small holes(this is where heat will exit) at the back before closing with front panel. 3:22 Pause and watch it.
The design as shown in this video is faulty. The top fans are blowing downwards on the hot side of the peltier. There is no escape for the hot air, so it will just cancel out the cold air coming into the room. The hot air must be evacuated if there is to be any sort of real cooling. With a few mods, this will work as a great tent air-conditioner for a tent while camping, using solar power, batteries & a small generator. I would use a few more peltiers and duct tube to vent the hot side gasses to the outside.
If we think Practically it's impossible to bring temperature from 30+ degree Celsius to 12+ degree Celsius with above device. I have built a Cold Storage of 2m (height) X 1m (Width) X 2m (Length) and at No Load to reduce Temperature from 24 to 16 it took 4+ hours with Compressor, Condensor and Evaporator and area is also too small.
