0:45 "the textures aren't loaded" - that's actually not true. What's happening here is that you're looking at the backside of the polygons. So every 3d object is made from individual polygons. Each polygon has so-called "normals", which are important, because they tell the engine which way the surface is facing. Most games have a rule called "backface culling" - so if you are inside an object (and thus look at the back side of a polygon, it is invisible. This saves processing power. If there was no backface culling, the game would be much slower because it would be computing the backside of every polygon, even though you can never see it (unless you're performing a wall glitch like here)

Some areas get super scary and theres big ol holes in the mesh under the city so sometimes you find yourself falling for a while before hitting invisible water. Still makes me uncomfortable to this day tbh

You can do the same glitch without the extra steps just walk in until you see the locker room wall into the open locker and spam jump like you did and he same thing would happen
In dukes there's a certain apartment building you can see inside the main door, it doesn't open, glitch through and you can find you can traverse this little hall into a textureless room, it seemed to be a cut safehouse, as it gives interior camera

The "texture" disappears because you are in MLO, and when you exit MLO, the "texture" reloads. What you call textures are models.
