    I had fun watching you -I'm 61- I watched my mom and my sister (she is 12 years older than me) curl their hair all the time-mom used V-O5 -i sat for hours when they went to the beauty shop-mom would sit for 45 minutes to dry her hair. Thank for the memories💋

    I enjoyed this video. I've never watched a brush out of this kind of style. I didn't understand how the set would translate into the bouncy wave or curl you see with the finished Style.
    Watching you brush it out, I could finally see. It's kind of like the concept of of "twist" when you're spinning yarn. The Twist has to go somewhere. That is, the energy of the twist in yarn, or string, can either be caught up in a short area, where it over twists, and curls back onto itself. Or, you allow the twist to run the full length of the yard, say 12 in. Then, because you're allowing the energy of the twist flow, the energy becoming spread out out over a greater distance.
    Here, all of the energy of those individual curls flows downward, once you start brushing it out. Rather than hurling back onto itself in a comp if you haven't brushed it out, that energy still wind up in the form of those waves at the bottom of the hair. Sorry, it was a simple analogy in my head. But trying to write it out so that it makes sense to someone else, it wound up being more complicated than I intended....
    This hairstyle really looks good on you. Also I like the sleeves on the dress. I would like to have seen the full length of it. New subscriber. First time commenting. Hello! 🤗

      That’s actually a great analogy! I’m glad you were able to understand it in a way that works for you.
      An my dress is actually my dressing gown. I have a short that shows it off better.

    Really lovely results ❤ I am curious how you keep your hairstyle during the week, how you refresh and sleep on it etc.

    • @TheGlambassador
      @TheGlambassador  Год назад +3

      I usually just brush out my style from the day and sleep with a silk bonnet on. I don't re-roll or do anything special throughout the week. I have a series called the "Life Cycle of my Wet Set" here where you can see how my set evolves over a week.

    Thanks for sharing the process of the brushout- looking for the blue hairnet wrap. Can you share a link for it? It looks different from the hairnets on your site. Thank you!

    Hi! I love your wetset series 💕 but I wish to know how avoid the frizz during the brushout, because my hair si very dry and wavy... is a mess 😔

    • @TheGlambassador
      @TheGlambassador  Год назад +3

      If it's naturally drier, you need to make sure that you are properly hydrating your hair to begin with, typically frizz is a symptom of other things that are happening with the hair. But topically, hair oil and pomade (as shown in this video) can help. I have a video talking about how I dealt with frizz when I lived in Hawaii, there's great information in there that I think would help you.
      And remember, a certain amount of frizz is absolutely normal and gives you a very authentic look. So sometimes it's best to embrace the fluff and frizz.

    Can you do this with naturally curly hair? Or do you have to put it in curlers?

    • @TheGlambassador
      @TheGlambassador  Месяц назад +1

      You wouldn’t be able to achieve a brush out like this with just brushing out natural curls/texture. I have naturally curly hair (type 3b), and natural curls have a random curl pattern. You need the wet set to create a uniform curl pattern and to relax the natural curl.
      Brushing out natural curls will only give you frizz.
