Here's how I deleted my group. I used what you suggested and then I removed each member and I removed myself last. After that... I got an immediate window that said...your group has been deleted. I didn't have to delete the content. Your video got me started. Thanks!

Actually you can delete a group. Delete / Block the members but not your self then you can pause as you said and then you leave the group and at that time you delete the group ;-)

i followed your advice of deleting a group though a computer vs phone. i have to correct you that there is a delete group option at the very bottom. I was the Administrator. I deleted all members and then To Leave Group myself it said Delete Group.
Because my group had only 8 members after a year, i deleted every member so i was the only one left. Then i noticed delete group. when i clicked it, it said "if you leave the group, there will be nobody to get the group out of the archive" i clicked "continue" hope no one finds it again. nothing embarrasing on it though.

You're actually wrong. You can delete the group. What you do is you ban all the members 1 by 1 until you the admonistrator is the only member left. Then you push leave group and when you push leave group it will say "leave and delete group". You push that and it's done. So you're wrong you can delete the group you just have to delete all the members first and then you leave last.
I volunteered to host and build a Facebook Group for our local County historical society. I started it, but didn't have all the info right in front of me. I was confident that I could basically start a template and fill in details later. WRONG! It immediately became public, even though I had an intro with blank lines in it and other things that guaranteed our group would appear UNPROFESSIONAL. Not only that, but I could not edit those things that I had entered!!! The only way out would be to delete the entire group and start over. (Which I doubt I'll do! I'm now exploring other platforms for putting out a face for our little non-profit! Any suggestions are welcome!

No, not really helpful at all. I wanted to delete the group cause the company it was promoting went out of business and the page was specifically directed to that one company. So I'll write something to that effect just before "Pausing" the group and never going back!

I heard from another youtuber you can delete a group, but you must first delete each member individually and then at the end you can delete the group.

Just ban / suspend all users, and then leave the group. This will delete the group. Just worked for me

I also deleted the people first and as the last person, when I left the group it notified me that the group would be automatically deleted.

I have FB group that appears in my group in the Chinese language which I do not recall joining.

there is a trick, if you are the last Admin and you leave the group, Facebook will tell you that it will be deleted because you're the last admin.
