@PingPongFootage the way you hold the penhold blades isnt purely correct, you stretch your fingers down straight, this helps you to adjust the perfect angle for the rpb on cpen. on the jpen you need to shift your whole hand higher up the racket and encircle the handle fully putting most of the pressure on your thumb, the side of your index finger andthe middle finger leaving the rest to support the grip fully. and lastly to fully benefit from the penhold rackets sand the edges of your blade off
You can put rubbers on both sides of the paddle when you use the penhold grip, if you know how to execute the RPB. You can't really put rubbers on the back side of the paddle if you use the Japanese penhold; it's designed only use the front side.
great video!! i would like you to explain the diferences between chinese and japannese game styles.. and also if you could recommend me some videos of chinnese penhold.. Regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina
You are a champ for being nice to a comment like that. I enjoyed your genuine knowledge in this video, and even though I play ping pong, I'm pretty sure you'd beat the crap out of me and a lot of other viewers on here. Good video, bro.
Could you put rubber on each side of the penhold raquet? Could you play with either side of a japese penhold raquet or is intended for only one sided rubber?
For the shakehand it's 4 inches or close to 4 inches. For the penhold, it's probably a little longer than 3 inches.

Your forgetting quite alot of non-conventional holds like pistol grip, 1+4 and victor popovich's bat.
And you are forgetting how to spell. It's "you're." And "alot" is two words: "a" and "lot."
Nice, video, man. I didn't know there were multiple types of ping pong paddles. As far as grip and handles go, at least.
Nice catch!
I am about to buy my first table tennis racket. I like your review on the Butterfly TBC401. I want to get that one. Any recommendations?
