Lukewarm response from me at first, then it grew, grew.....I'm now obsessed. That's the thing with Taylor Swift's artistic vision. It sneaks up on you, allows you some process time, then POW. You see the genius in snippets.

After a couple listens it's still boring and the music video doesn't amaze me at all, I prefer Beyonce's "Levi's jeans" featuring Post Malone even though I don't like it because it's less boring. Good songs are important for good music videos, it has to be good enough for music videos to be good

Doesn't amaze me at all, lots of things in the video doesn't make sense and everything good has to make sense. Outfits or acting doesn't make a good film, it has to make sense.
The first scene, Taylor was chained to and laying on a hanging bed frame without a mattress. Why doesn't it have a mattress? 😂
Why's it hanging? Why isn't it on the floor with a mattress in it? Why's she chained to it? Music video already off to a bad start. Nobody would do that unless it's for something dumb like this video.

This is only up for discussion because both artists released their albums in the same time period, so it will be compared when the award season comes around, unfortunately. So we have no choice. Not comparing women but just the MUSIC itself. let’s be clear on that.
It’s also interesting that Post Malone collaborated on both albums that were released back to back. I don’t blame him working with them both because they’re both amazing Artists in their own right. I’m not crazy about this song itself but I do like the Music video a lot, it has some Fantastic creative shots & it’s cool she got the Actors in TPS Film. I wish Beyoncé would do Visuals for Cowboy Carter ( still waiting for Renascence lol 😭) cause Levi’s Jeans is a cute fun track that’s different for him.
Let’s get into it: Cowboy Carter is ALLL about the music & will be in music history & studied in Music Classes. Beyoncé proved even more her true talented musicianship & range Musically, Lyrically & Vocally. All her songs sound different on the album & different themes, breaking Music barriers by exploring different Genre Elements that’s never been done before in music & as a Black Women on top of it all. For TTPD Lyrically the album falls flat & the themes aren’t that relatable as she’s previously done, all her sadness is because of a Man is the overly exhausted theme in this album. Taylor’s entire 31 songs sound the same & blend into each other & I’m not saying this to be shady, it’s the actual truth of The Sound & many reviewers have said the same.
If TTPS wins any Grammys over Cowboy Carter, then the Grammys is low key / high key Racist & Biased towards Artists. Nobody needs that many awards when other Artists are doing the best music in their careers & breaking Music Genre Barriers. Taylor definitely deserved to win with specific previous albums, no doubt about that. But TTPD isn’t a ground breaking album like Cowboy Carter. I actually think it would be hard for ANY album this year to come close to Cowboy Carter. Only artist I think may be in true music competition for it may be Billy Eilish’s new album, I guess we’ll see!
