welcome to my very first draw with me video (digital art/procreate edition) ! since I started doing digital art, I've always wanted to film a draw with me video for you, but because I get so nervous drawing on camera it's taken me THIS long to finally post one ;;-;; anyways, thank you so much for stopping by to check out my video. In Mexico we also use the banana leaves for a meal called "tamales", it's nice to see that in other countries do the same haha. Hope you are doing good Malin!
So nice how different cultures share similarities!
In Malaysia, we wrap our nasi lemak and many more foods with banana leaves
But usually its corn husks for tamales no?
@@Palpo_pics it depends on the type of tamal 🫔 you prepare, if it is torteado you use the banana leaf but if it is colado you use the corn husk

Since you want to learn how to use colour drop you dont have to outline it in the base colour. What you have to do it set the lineart layer to reference, the base colour layer below the lineart layer and then fill it in! :D

Your art is adorable! I love cats so much and this cat is the most adorable partly cranky cat I've seen in a long time! XD I adore that dark blue colour. I'll have to give it a try at some point. I usually use a charcoal grey and the 6B pencil. Though I'm only just breaking an 8-year hiatus so there's a lot of growth and relearning I have to do! Your voice is so calming and relaxing. Artists like you, Apple Cheeks, Thanksxu & Cheyenne Barton are inspiring me not just to draw again, but explore fun colour schemes like this beautiful kitty! :3 I'm intrigued with your line-art process. How do you come up with your ideas for what to draw? I love that you haven't quit and I look forward to seeing how you grow! I think for the sticky rice maybe having it around its mouth may give the illusion more? And adding slight shadow? Either way, it turned out so dang good!! ♥ I love the Venus vibes hahaha! Definitely prefurr it more than the Venus painting though. ;)

I just want to tell you that u can colour faster by tapping on the sketch layer and choosing reference and then add another layers and colour without needing to line the edges 👏🏻

This is a silly question, and perhaps I should watch your older videos for this, but I notice that you tend to draw over your first sketch. Is the first sketch like a rough one and you're doing a new layer with the final look?

Where can I find the noise brush in Procreate?
I've been looking for the same brush that Malin uses but I can't find it.

"Noise" is actually an adjustment, not a brush. And it you slow down the video, it looks like they used the Gaussian blur adjustment. I can't tell the percentage setting.

hello malin, nice video! i'd like to ask you, how did you turn the stroke of the monoline brush (the one you used for the lineart) into a more organic stroke? the monoline brush is usually straight and clean and yours seems to be more irregular. thanks 🙏❤ lots of love from spain
If you tap on the brush you can mess around with the brush settings! I added some jitter and fixed the taper so that it appears more natural :)
