I've lost a dog and two cats to coyotes in suburban Los Angeles county. Despite this, I never understood the depth of hatred that ranchers feel for predators until I started hunting. These bold creatures are increasing in numbers and pose true economic hardship on ranchers. As for me, I keep my pets indoors now unless I am right there with them. GREAT shooting!

I am impressed with the marksmanship demonstrated here in this video and I am not sure if the method of using calls works in my vicinity but we could sure use you guys expertise here where I live which is overrun with the damned things and I haven't had such luck at getting them to come around with the call I was using and had to resort to traps to get the lobo that was taking my cats and pups and I finally got his ass but the pack that comes out howling at night sounds like a hundred or more and it's only a matter of time until they come for the rest .
There are better ways to protect your dog, than just killing these innocent animals who are just trying to survive and be themselves. Why can't you extend your love of dogs to other species?

I was suggesting better solutions than just killing our way out of 'problems', like bringing in the sheep and pets for the night. Or putting up better barriers to keep them away. A more permanent and win win solution for the ranchers and the animals, who are just trying to survive and be themselves. If you don't want mice in your home, you contain the food and cover up the holes under the door. They are intelligent enough to stay away and look for food elsewhere away from human settlements. Some places there are no wildlife left. Let us appreciate and respect what's left. As you know, the predator animals are essential to keep a check on the other animals. So called 'pests' have a role to play in the tree of life. Even plants regarded as weeds have been rediscovered to be beneficial for health and planet. There are always better ways to protect your assets than just killing our way out of 'problems'. Coyotes are canines, similar to dogs. Why can't you extend your love of dogs? You could have been them in this life or perhaps in the next. Have a heart for the animals and i ask you to come up with better ideas and win win solutions. @Under the Surface Coyotes are just savages. Every once in a while some will get near by back yard, looking to kill either mine or one of my neighbors dog. I mean they are essential for a stable ecosystem, but they destroy cattle, dogs, and sometimes even hunters. At the end of the day, all they think about is their next meal. I think one reason why people hate them so much is the idea of them multiplying like cancer and terrorizing land owners.

DAHABI ZIZY coyotes will eat deer and even livestock. That’s why farmers especially like hunting them.
As they encroach into urban areas they also bring disease that can be transmitted to your pets.

I'm interested in a list of the calibers used. Some shots sounded like larger calibers, but perhaps it was just the acoustics of the area.
Most of them were shot with a 22-250 but there is a couple that were shot with the 223
