@@overboardentertainment1569 cool. I appreciate your answer. I won a dreskar, it's an $500 dollar amazon board . I'm 45 and haven't been on a skateboard in over 20 years. Anyway I fell in love with it. I wanted something that didn't have just street wheels and was easier on the bumps so I ended up ordering a ownboard bamboo with the molicel batteries and 120mm cloud wheels. It was right at $1000. Thought about the hurricane but didn't want to spend the extra cash. I'm going to give it maybe a year and see what is out by then . Something around the hurricane money probably $1500. I'll keep an eye on your channel and see what's next. Thanks again.
Great plan man... just take it slow and enjoy the Ownboard for now. I've been dormant for a while as far as posting videos but I have a new baby and workin alot more... but Overboard is still in it to win it once life calms itself I'll be back at it better then before... Have a great season man and thanks for being here and asking questions
Wondering if you can answer a question for me. I am looking to buy the eovan but I'm wondering if I use the 40T pulley and the 155mm wheels what size belt should I use? Also, wondering what pulley would work best for top speeds on the 175mm wheels? I don't know much about gear ratios... lol
I would love to brotha.... get the 5M 300 belts for your 40t and it will pair up with any Eovan wheel core... the Eovan 125mm Airless, the 155 or 175mm pnumatics. And top speed is smallest wheel pulley paired with large diameter wheels... Your torque will take a small hit of course... but the Eovan doesn't lack any torque. So far its the torquest Eboard I have ever ridden so a hit to the torque isn't nessearily a bad thing... Use my code too man, and you will save a little cash... not much but better then nothing. I hope that helps
@@overboardentertainment1569 Thanks man I appreciate it! Also one more question I just thought of, If I'm using the 40t with the 155mm or the 175mm would that decrease the range a little?
Just got the Eovan, and yeah that thing is too powerful. I dont even know that the " acceleration setting" do anything, because even all the way down it still takes off like a rocket. Its weird because owning the Eovan has completely changed what i look for in a board. Now i just want something with a nice soft take off. Honestly It boarders on unusable in day to day life Its like a sports car, tons of fun on a track, but useless if you need to get groceries.
The remote acceleration settiongs go from -100 to 100. Try a negative setting and it eases the take offs signicantly. Now after i did that I actually like my Eovan lol
@@overboardentertainment1569 @david Fenske I set it to -50. It still punched. I also re calibrated the remote since i though maybe the problem was the remote being sensitive. Im gonna try using a smaller gear to drop the torque mechanically .
@@user-yf4gx4rf8h I use 50t on the New pnumatics and it leaves dual Burnout marks when I nail it in Race at 100.... The off the line I did in the video was the only one I got to connect and it had me holding on for dear life for about 50 feet straight.... Insane, but I also tried 40t on the airless 125s and it was "better" but the 40t with the 155s would probly be great
@@overboardentertainment1569 definitely, it's looking like it may be a challenger to the Eovan, it already beat the hurricane in someone else's video when they did a drag race.
I am in a very simular situation dude.... Sledge or Zeus Pro next, I'm thinking in terms of me, and RUclips reviews cuz I will have to buy it myself. So I really want to wait too... just to see what pops off next, or just get the Zeus. Keeping it real... If you don't like the Hurricane, then idk what to say until I try the Zeus Pro (if)
Yea man... I hate to say it like this. But there are 100% level to this, and the Eovan is for those who have already ridden very strong boards and are more into long, high speed cruises.... ( I changed my bushings and washers)
To say the least.... the Eovan will kill anything under $2500 bucks to date as far as my tests show. But its almost to much power.... I know you said the meepo isn't your style... but I have to keep it real, that thing is a perfectly tuned monster that knows its way around. Perfect foot placement and very comfortable.... Thats my honest feeling about all 4 that are in this video at least.... But I still really want to try the Zeus Pro because the Truck set up/Battery set up If it can legit hit 36+, I want it.... but I need proof.... You seen any videos of it doing that?
I say it's over prices... I have my Hammer I would sell you for $900 I have taken very good care of it and for sure has less then 200 miles. I could check for you if your interested. I have the original packaging
I think the heating up of the motors would be increased on this same hill... But you might see huge differences on a lengthier hill while pulling someone due to the boards efficiency and when the esc tells it to back off due to overheating the motors....
Awesome thought... The Atlas might win it if the hill was 3 times the length while pulling someone... and the Hurricane if it was twice the length... But that's all speculation and my experience on these boards
@@overboardentertainment1569 🐍Added heat with added distance goes without saying. I want to see the towing hill climb comparison because I am a heavier rider who lives at the top of a hill and hillclimb is the best way to display true torque. @@overboardentertainment1569 🐍3x vs. 2x...‼️ The Exway Atlas was the unexpected leader of DKwan's test. @@anacondahugs808 hell yea man... It may be something I do... just need to find a monsterous hill and I'll pull a friend But legit, the Hurricane is such a well rounded board man Consider it
I have an idea for a new video. Since you have all these competing board and have tested them very thoroughly in terms of performance why not make an unbiased honest comparison of them as an open discussion with some video running. Each boards pros and cons and let people decide what the value most. Range, support, quality, torque, speed and agility/handling. I think these values are sometimes lost by some other reviews. You have ridden these boards a fair bit by now and I am sure you value them differently in other areas than what can be measured.Hope you and your family are doing fantastically.
@@overboardentertainment1569 that board seems to be one of the best options these days and to not include it really is a disservice to your viewers. Don't work for them or even own one but it really does seem like the best option out there right now right up there with the hurricane.

I also ordered the new esc for my original board. I do believe with out testing that the acceleration and torque is unmatched on the new Z Pro just by specs.
The pro should be delivered in a few weeks, if you find yourself in Vegas your more welcome to take them out for a test and further and. create a review for your channel.
Is the hammer the same as the hammer sledge? Or is it an actual upgrade?
Out of all the boards you have tried and you could only have one. What would it be?
Hurricane... for sure
It's the Mario of these 4 boards.
Well rounded in every way and comfortable
40t 155s.... Great range....
40t 175s.... Good range....
What torque with a larger hill?
What do you mean my friend
Just got the Eovan, and yeah that thing is too powerful. I dont even know that the " acceleration setting" do anything, because even all the way down it still takes off like a rocket. Its weird because owning the Eovan has completely changed what i look for in a board. Now i just want something with a nice soft take off. Honestly It boarders on unusable in day to day life Its like a sports car, tons of fun on a track, but useless if you need to get groceries.
You worded that really well...
It's not a grocery getter... it a hellcat
Made to go straight super fast😅
The remote acceleration settiongs go from -100 to 100. Try a negative setting and it eases the take offs signicantly. Now after i did that I actually like my Eovan lol
@@bigwavedaveskate You nailed it too brotha.. if you want any punch control try sub 0 for sure....
Insane, but I also tried 40t on the airless 125s and it was "better" but the 40t with the 155s would probly be great
Are you planning in getting the ownboard zues pro for a comparison
I'm stuck between it and the new Backfire coming out...
You thinking the Zues?
But I still really want to try the Zeus Pro because the Truck set up/Battery set up
If it can legit hit 36+, I want it.... but I need proof....
You seen any videos of it doing that?
is this the backfire hammer sledge?
No.. its the original hammer
@@overboardentertainment1569 would you say the hammer sledge is better option now?
I say it's over prices... I have my Hammer I would sell you for $900
I have taken very good care of it and for sure has less then 200 miles. I could check for you if your interested. I have the original packaging
🐍How about a hillclimb torque/speed comparison test "towing another rider" like David Kwan did in his video❓️ 🖖🤙
It's the opposite of your 10mph push test & there is no zero start friction loss or burn out to content width.
@@overboardentertainment1569 🐍3x vs. 2x...‼️ The Exway Atlas was the unexpected leader of DKwan's test. But it's old technology nowadays with newer 21700 cells and Mollicel batteries working there way into newer production models. I think my Inertion Raptor 2.1 would still wipe the floor with Exway Atlas but nobody has one to do a comparison. It's a kicktail & I am strongly considering an AT board or buying a 2nd hand Raptor and sticking riser pads under some double kingpin AT trucks. 🖖🤙
@@anacondahugs808 hell yea man...
It may be something I do... just need to find a monsterous hill and I'll pull a friend
But legit, the Hurricane is such a well rounded board man
Consider it
more youtubers pushing comparison videos 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼 eovan power is crazy.. but the hurricane will pass it after about 150meters
Something about that acceleration from start to finish, it is just perfect to me
The Meepo! Hahaha
That's a beautiful idea....
I have plans for another comparison offroad and that would be perfect to add at the end
Aint really a true comparison till you put " street" wheels .... meepo hurricane has a new esc .... .
Go iowa
For life!
ur video looks like ur n a video game
I hope that's a good thing😁
Except you missed one very important board the ownboard Zeus pro.... Instant disappointment
Really?
What happened with that board?
@@overboardentertainment1569 that board seems to be one of the best options these days and to not include it really is a disservice to your viewers. Don't work for them or even own one but it really does seem like the best option out there right now right up there with the hurricane.
@@masterleatel ohhh
I was thinking something was wrong with it legitimately.
I know man, I just started "Youtubing" and learning how to edit in August of last 2021
I bought 5 boards within 7 months with my own money, and the Atlas was my only free board....
But I feel like if I keep it up that eventually more and more people will enjoy the content I create...
Sorry if I sorta dissapointed you with this review... I truly am trying my best.
I have 5 kids, my wife and a 60 hour job so I really just do this for fun in my free time and had a small amount of success...
I didn't really plan for any of this...
But maybe into the future I can make a video that makes you wanna sub to us...
I see you Subbed to Esk8Unity and he has some super dope videos on that... im sure you already saw, but they are some of the better reviews on it on youtube
My apologies for someone doing this just for a hobby you're doing very well indeed. I didn't know the situation and feel a bit insensitive now. To keep up with the current boards would be unimaginable for me with just my personal money. Kudos man you definitely have my sub, looking forward to your future videos
