also what i adore about the acapella version not only can you hear the layering and harmonies better, but you can also hear how little her voice is edited. this is HER voice, very little editing on it and she shines so much, especially with her high notes and belts and head voice
this song fits her so well, a great choice as a single because it’s very radio friendly without being generic or basic and has her perrie-flare in it with her vocals really shining. people who are already critiquing her saying its boring and basic haven’t even heard her album yet where she said she experimented a lot. these same people would get mad if she dove into sounds that aren’t fit for her or tried to appropriate styles that aren’t meant for her. she did EVERYTHING right with this release and i’m so proud of her and so excited for what’s to come. if this song is a taste of what the album is gonna be like, i’m very excited cause her vocals already exceeded my expectations and its just a radio friendly single edit: i also love both of your personalities how they come through in your reactions!
