The gear selector plate on the trans has an F and an R. I assume it’s for forward or reverse manual valve body?? Great video. Very informative and helpful.
This is the best installation video i've ever seen on RUclips period! Good lighting, and thorough instructions! Thanks for the video! I have one question, because i've heard several people talk bad on Monster transmissions, have you had any issues? Not really sure why people say not to go with monster? 🤷🏽♂️
Thank you very much for the kind words. This shifter has performed flawlessly. I guess is boils down to preference. I have had NO issues whatsoever. Thank you SO much for watching.
Have you had any issues with, the bolt at the bottom of the trigger coming loose? Not sure what is called but it’s the bolt at the bottom of the part that you pull back to shift gears, sometimes I have to finger tighten it when I’m driving.
Nope, probably because I haven't used it much. I am glad you mentioned that though. I will be watching it whenever I drive the car. Thanks for watching.
Bought a pro stick didn't have a chance to install yet. Instructions say that you can destroy the trans, cable, shifter and the world if hooked wrong. haha. Btw good tutorial !
You did a great job presenting this! I have the same shifter and i hate it. Theres no reason that they couldnt have labeled those wires or gave some wiring instructions in the directions. For the microswitch as well. It moves poorly and is clunky. I think much of the trouble is the low quality cable. They used to be way better. My old Z-gate was much higher quality. I guess everything is rubbish these days. You did great though!!
@@TerenceDIY I understand now and sorry for another question but I was told from the guy I bought my truck from with the ratchet shifter and he said I have to wire in the over drive does that have to do anything with those wires
If I am understanding correctly, the transmission has push button overdrive? That's the only thing make sense to me. If that is the case, you could assign one of the buttons to that. Here is the simplest way I can explain the buttons function. All they do is complete a circuit when pressed (line lock, transbrake, etc...). I wish I were there to help you. It's hard trying to explain when I cannot see what is going on.
Good video. It was a bitch to get both buttons down that slot. How did you exit the buttons.? And what did you end up rigging? I have line lock, transbrake, nitrous, and msd 2 step.. I was going to rig the top button to line lock and 2 step and bottom to transbrake and use wot switch for nitrous but also a button on steering wheel.
Hi, this was a fairly easy install. I had no issues whatsoever with the buttons. I used the top button for the line lock and the bottom button for the transbrake.
I think the set up of this shifter perfect, is this for automatic or manuel? i got a camaro ss 2010 automatic not sure if id be able to. Dope video fam hella descriptive 💯💯💯🔥🔥
The instructions with this unit is horible. Even worse is trying to find an exploded diagram of this unit. I had to mod the buttons. I took it apart to get the arm out to rewire it. Should have left it together. I forgot what order it went in. I am combining the internet for other angles of the unit so I can reassemble it. For the price you would expect way better instruction and more info on disassembly. I got the angles I need to see to figure out the order of the plates and washers. FYI the buttons are not latching, and a 12mm switches were the closest to the size of the holes but you still need to tap it or drill it out. B$M does not appear to sell latching switches.
Great video! For those using a normal pattern, I've made an upgrade to keep from missing 3rd and accidentally hitting neutral. You can now simply slap shift twice, and you have neutral lockout. I make custom slap shifting detents for factory shifters, and I had a request to make a Pro Stick function the same way. I'll be designing a 4 speed version soon. ruclips.net/video/NuNOxTdyXf0/видео.html

Pretty detailed and thx💨

Probably a dumb question but what do you do with the two black wires what do hook them up too thanks love the video?
It's not a dumb question. I believe I show in detail how to hook them up in this video. Let me know if you still don't understand.
@@TerenceDIY I understand now and sorry for another question but I was told from the guy I bought my truck from with the ratchet shifter and he said I have to wire in the over drive does that have to do anything with those wires
The wires are for the two switches. Do you have this exact shifter?
@@TerenceDIY yes I do and I was told by the guy I have to hook up the over drive do you know what that is?

Did you wire the trans brake button off is a relay?? Or straight to the trans??
Straight to the transmission. Thanks for watching.

Yes.
