what the fuck are you talking about? either the entire class was black, or you can tell who he was specifically looking at. which, you can't. also, if I'm not mistaken the point of the video is that he's the only black person and the rest of the class is white. otherwise, why would he go out of his way to make a joke about the way the teacher pronounced the names of different students. the shit you consume and assume on a daily must be overwhelming.

He was wrong and unskilled. All inexcusable for a teacher! The most you can learn from that, is to search yourself to not ever go down that path of ignorance and communication in life.
I am encouraged by your true learning and recognition of the various ancestors and their strength! Let your pride grow bigger in yourself and your ability to overcome and Represent all your ancestors' Brilliance shining on through you now! We're All Still Here. I took East Asian Studies at university and it was taught by a white guy, he did aight. I could tell he had a passion for it. But, I still wanted an instructor who identified as East Asian. Just like I purposely took Mandarin from a native speaker. I’ve learned a great deal of Black American history from a white guy, so no shade to every white instructor. However, I feel like there are enough black instructors to teach our history. Same for Chinese, Mexican, Arab etc.

I was the only black student in my AP US History and AP English and Language Arts class. Both had units on slavery with photo/video presentations and class discussions. It was so uncomfortable since everyone kept staring at me while they thought I wasn't looking; and at the same time whenever I was in a group, people would either talk less for fear of saying something wrong, or field every response to me since I was black. I'm anxious and shy by default, and those situations kind of heightened the emotions and tendencies that I have when anxiety kicks in. I wound up either staring down at the floor or out of the window during those classes.

There’s a play called Pipeline that addresses this passive aggressive treatment of black students.
The main character, Omari, attends a private school primarily attended by white kids, and in one of his classes the teacher assumes Omari has experienced the racism and violence of the book that they are reading and picks on him disproportionately to talk about the black character in a very cruel and intentionally discomforting way.
Omari is uncomfortable with the biased and pointed discussion and tries to leave, and he ends up pushing his teacher out of the way. This causes him to become a target for the “Pipeline” which is the term for the unfair amount of charges and arrests that black students experience in comparison to their peers so that they can feed the prison system, a form of secondary slavery.
It’s very good and touches on themes like the role of a parent vs that of a teacher, and it’s morally grey when it comes to Omari’s actions.

simple yet funny, I love these solo comedy sketch channels with one person doing all the roles
the editing really brings it together along with the intentionally slapdash character costumes
simple yet deliberate cuts in the camera angles and that pause before he says "bitch"
i'm about to go full reddit and break down this video but I digress
keep it up man been watching for probably around a year now and always check for the new vids

Damn this was so awkward to watch. I grew up in a predominantly black community and school. Most of the classes only had one or two white kids in them, including me. So whenever this topic came up 15 pairs of eyes would zoom onto the closest one. Of course I knew this was just them razzing me but damn did it feel awkward.

It’s so interesting. I’m so happy I didn’t have this experience because I went to school with almost all black people and had mostly black teachers.

I'm Australian and I felt this. Every time we talk about Aboriginal history, there's always that one kid that the teacher picks on
