- In this D&D Character Creation video we will be exploring in great detail the story of Kwalu, a Human Mage Hunter Wizard from Chult. We will take a look at his backstory, spell selection, and examine each decision made to create this character up to a Multiclassed total level of 7. Plus, we will detail some of the great synergy discovered while creating this character.

Hi all! Couple things...
Be sure to check out the NOTES if you want to see Time Stamps on the levels and jump around. I should have them posted tonight.
Also... I have a bit of deja vu at the end and recorded two "final thoughts" moments... oh well... two outros for the price of one, lol. For an hour video, I am going to leave it be rather than backtrack and re-edit the entire video.
Also, sorry about so much background music... but my original audio was low and the fan on my Computer was super loud and a bit noisy. So, I covered it up with medieval and tribal tunes.
Finally, I really wanted to get this video out before the next puzzle video, so I went with what I had, rather than re-recording and re-editing. This wasn't the top-notch production I was striving for, but satisfactory enough to provide quality information.

Hey, man! You probably know this already, but a Rogue doesn't need Advantage to get their Sneak Attack. All they need is someone to be adjacent to the ROgue's target.
Right. When posted that comment he was talking about blinding foes because he needed advantage to get his sneak attack off. And using your familiar that way is a super fast way to get your familiar murdered super had!
Oh yeah, great point my friend... Sure thing, I did know that about Sneak Attack, but failed to mention. Thank you for bringing it up. :)
lol, poor spider... I do have some super cool plans for that little guy but didn't even think of sending it into battle to gain sneak attack. Joe's right... it will get squished, lol.
noob question, why wouldn't you want to level your rogue class?
I think it all just comes down to how you want to build your character or what abilities you want to use. And ya know, that might be the smarter thing to do... I build so many of my characters on themes and ideas over best options. Looking back at this video, I would definitely consider getting up to a Rogue 3 sooner than expected.

Hey wally this vid is how i found your channel and loving your stuff. think we can get ether a vid or pdf of this build for levels 8+ at some point? im going to be running a mage hunter (using the Vedalken
race) and our dm is starting us at level 10, normally starts us at level 3 at the highest so am a bit.. uneasy and would love to see a higher level build for this idea please.
Hey there! Welcome to the channel, glad to have ya aboard. Ah, yes, this was a fun class from Xanathar's Lost Notes, I'm glad you liked the video.. I will see what I can do about creating a few more levels for the Mage Hunter on the PDF. I'll post a link here if I'm able to get them created. I probably won't be able to do another video simply for the lack of time. But... I do have new character creations... so stay tuned!
Cool concept, man. Have you checked out the Pathfinder Playtest rules yet? They're streamlined Pathfinder without stripping it down the way they did with 5E. The playtest has a proficiency system that makes sense and a skill system that isn't crap. I know you came from Pathfinder and think you'd really enjoy it. The playtest has a much more robust character creation system that let's you make characters that feel different from other characters.
I almost played the Pathfinder playtest at GenCon... just missed out on it. My only regret from the day.
I may take a look at it... maybe some character creation videos... I'm so far behind in making videos, work and life have been crazy... but is there anything, in particular, you would like to see covered on RUclips?
