Have the Rush 72. Awesome pack. My laptop with neoprene case fits perfect in the hydration area making room for gear in the main compartmemt. I have 3 expensive hiking packs and numerous military issued packs and this is one of the best. The military needs to contract with 5.11 for packs and accessories.
I have the Rush 50 Pack....Amazing storage capacity and comfort... (Rush 50 = 2x Rush24 packs...one for the truck the other is an EDC) When is 511 Rush gonna make a RUSH 168 ?? (1 week pack / INCH bag /75-80 liters thruhike backpack ) ??
It would be great if there will be a less tacticool, more gray man version also available (the full open/accessibility is rare for large backpacks) and I'm not sure about how the adjustable straps section (velcro, etc.) will hold on a long term.
Any bag with velcro, will last a good 18 months and then start to fail....still its a good investment , till another company comes out with an upgrade on outdoor packs.
I got the 1.0 Rush 24 ...and a bit disappointed with the 2.0 Rush 24 ..it doesn't have any drain holes, or a bladder tube hole on top. The laptop pouch is okay , but it won't allow large water bottles to fit in the side vertical pouches, when its put in... Over all, the 2.0 Rush 24 is an office/ EDC bag , while the original 1.0 Rush 24 is an outdoor bag / EDC / GHB / BOB ...IMHO
Littlemrbeastjr I’ve read it’s supposed to be released in the fall. But they said that before all this covid19 stuff happened so I wouldn’t be surprised if they delay it until winter or early next year.
I’ve got a 24 and a 72 and love them. Now for the big question. How much does this beast WEIGH? Can’t help but notice no weight listed on the 5.11 website, and that can’t be good. What does it weigh in the full 60L config with belt? ILBE (106L) weighs about 8.5 lbs and Rush 72 55L comes in at 5.5. My guess is the Rush 100 is running about 6.0-6.5 lbs? An Osprey Atmos 62 (Small) runs about 4.5 lbs for comparison, although clearly not as durable as 5.11.
They sell for about $480.oo- $550 (tax included)depending on the Canadian outlet stores, you frequent. $300 USD on amazon (not including tax or shipping cost)
Terrible bag. The 72 holds far more. Allow me to explain. The 100 is narrower and a lot more shallow. This bag is designed for a blanket and bedding only. If you’re looking to add tools such as folding saws and cookware forget about it. The pockets are massive until you realize that once one is full either the inside or outside pocket shrinks entirely bought mine took all my shit out of the 72 and could only get Maybe half. That would be generous saying half.

5.11 Tactical basically that beast of a 5.11 Tactical Pack is a Bergen judging from it's size!
