In a interview for Garfield, in which he talked about leaving the role to Chris Pratt in the upcoming movie, he mentioned that he was back as Megatron

Alternatively: because Shatter's message never got through, Megatron doesn't know the Autobots are on Earth. Maybe he was tracking Scourge in order to stop him from sniping Decepticons and Scourge lead him right to Prime
I can already hear him saying "Starscream you fool!"
This is what I was hoping would happen. The Decepticons would not appear in the entire movie at all, leaving the Autobots and the Maximals to team up against the Terrorcons and their Freezer swarm that would continuously spawn from the Transwarp portal. At the end of the movie, the Autobots and Maximals successfully defeat the Terrorcons and destroy the portal, which causes a huge surge of energy so big that the Decepticons detect it all the way on Cybertron. In the post credits scene, we are shown Soundwave from Bumblebee movie detect the surge and report it to Megatron, who looks exactly like on this box art, and they decide to investigate Earth for Optimus Prime.

Be cool to get a Megatron cameo at the end of ROTB, would hope that means that we would see him in the sequel! I feel like there could be a scene in where both Scourge and Megatron fight in the sequel, maybe for the honor to finish off Optimus? Well anyway wish to see him soon.

Tbh, I still believe that BW Megatron gonna have a cameo (at least after credits scenes) But this was truly unexpected to see this Megatron design on the box (The only thing is make me feel weird is his mouth, it's just looks kinda terrifying), he looks not bad by the way.
In my opinion, I like this creepy Megatron design, it makes him more threatening looking.
His head design is kinda like a stormtrooper at 1st glance.

Bayverse Prime did feel a bit like a villain
With all the deaths he’d caused of course, Revenge of the Fallen to The Last Knight are the evidence of this. 2007 saw him in a much more positive and relatable light.

Well if you remember, during an interview with Frank Welker about a year ago, he did say he was doing Transformers again. Soo maybe, That theory might be true with Soundwave holding Megs in the Bumblebee movie, but you never know. I do believe that at least we'll be getting a cameo of Megs. His design looks Awesome!
I can see some resemblance in megatrons face here and in the 1st TF movie, mainly with the section under his eyes. And while I though it looked funky at first it's really setting in with me more than primes face

Doubt it. I mean, remember Energon Igniters Barricade from the Bumblebee line? Was expecting him to show up in the BB movie, but never appeared. Wouldn't be surprised if they did this with Megatron with him having a figure under the ROTB line, but never shows up in the movie...

Megatron was confirmed to be cut from the first film. The studio said that the rendering was original concept art for his appearance in Bumblebee. As for the toy figure itself, could very well be proof he will show up in this movie one way or another. And/or they’re just trying to make a figure to profit off the excitement of the movie
I want to see Megatron on the Nemesis at the end of the film, Looking over earth with Soundwave and saying: "At long last, I have found you Prime." Then cut to black.

Megatron looks sick! I was worried that if he was going to show up in Rotb they would have done something similar to Optimus’s design where his face would look like his bayverse incarnation while his body looked like his g1 incarnation but I am glad to see that this wasn’t the case tho I do think if he is to show up in Rotb he’ll probably have a very small role like maybe appear in a flashback or even a post credit scene alongside a couple other decepticons where they’ll have a more prominent role in the next film or something
The box art Megs looks like Bayverse Optimus got to him first

I thought the scourge/Optimus was obvious considering Transformers share the same body types or body parts of other character.

tbh despite how excited I am for this movie ( mainly due to the fact they're bringing in BEAST WARS which is still, to this day, my favorite Transformers series ), there are too many characters. Also, I swear there were leaks of the film that came out not too long ago. One of them states that most of the characters won't be in the movie for too long and Rhinox only says one sentence, Cheetor's scenes are apparently going to get short, etc... I don't want there to be too many characters. Now the fact that the Decepticons are going to be in it is giving me Michael bay vibes. Meaning a lot will most likely to marginalized and killed off. This is why a lot of poeple ( including myself ) liked Bumblebee because there were fewer characters and more character development, to thep point where you cared for the transformers. In contrast, the others were just there mainly for shock value.

Even if he has a vehicle mode he will probably also transform into some kind of gun to go with his G1 looks. It could just be a Cybertronian gun mode like galvatrons so it can still be a toy
I’m not sure if mass shifting will be allowed for the cybertronians in this universe. If so a tape player and gun will work for soundwave and megs. If not an M1 Abrams would work for megatron and a black government helicopter or van could work for soundwave as to tap into his gen 2 sound blaster design.

Design looks alright and interestingly enough it seems to be based on the concept art for the bumblebee movie I just hope they slightly improve on the mouth.

Now will Megatron be a freakishly tall opponent or will he be around the same size in height as Optimus or a tiny bit taller (Like how Scourge is like a few inches taller than Prime)? I'm not sure how tall Optimus Prime is in Rise of the Beast but I can tell he looks shorter than his Bayverse version which stands at 28ft. Bumblebee (2018) version of Optimus Prime stood at 16ft which I didn't care for, but in this movie, he looks quite a bit taller. If he's 28ft in this film, I would be surprised because he looks possibly more like 20ft or so. If they want to be G1 accurate, Prime stands at 30ft in the G1 cartoon, so does Megatron.
I hope they make Prime taller too, and if he was 30ft in G1 then that's even more reason to increase his height. I didn't like how short he was in BB either so they could make it like TFP where Megatron was a little taller than Prime that'd be awesome! Not sure how tall Optimus was in TFP but I think it was closer to 30ft too
Optimus in ROTB is 20 feet and Megatron is 26 feet. So they should increase his height to 22 1/2 feet. That will be the similar height difference like in TF:Prime.

I'm afraid that's not possible. The kill marks on Scourge already suggested that Terrorcons are hunting down all Transformers regardless of faction, Decepticons & Predacons included.
@@wayneshobbygallery Scourge has been killing his own troops as well, evidence on his grill on the SS figure. He probably doesn’t care about factions, just goals and those who stand in his way get offed by him.

I just want a story where Megatron and Optimus aren't just former friends, but were designed to combine.
Megatron (as M1 was a minor that rose to Gladiator and then Commander of the Cybertron Defence Forces being reformatted to become Megatron to do this)
At the same time Orin Pax was working his way up the clerk ranks and was chosen to become Optimus Prime.
What no one knew until the first Terracon war's final days (the last time Autobots and Decepticons united, forgetting their history) was Optimus and Megatron are designed to combine by Alpha Trion.
They combine to become Optitron Prime (place holder) the most powerful Cybertronian to ever exist.
But that's the last time that form was seen as when that war was finished, it didn't take long for the Great War to start, due to everyone remembering their differences.
G1 story of how they came to Earth, but both sides meet humans they can ally with, who match their personality types.
The Great War 2 begins soon after, the difference is Terracons keep the war going by using Bugbite, Nemesis and a few other copies of Autobots and Decepticons, while they gather resources to revive the robot form of Unicorn, while also looking for the Key of the Prime (the device needed to awaken Primus from his slumber)
Later, after both sides realise they were deceived unite to hunt the Terracons, but it's only due to a human both sides came to respect over the war, who was captured by the Terracons trying to prove the deception.
Optimus and Megatron use Astrotrain and Galaxy Shuttle to follow the Terracons to the Plant Unicron. Fighting their way through legions of Terracons, back to back, just like on the first Terracon War.
To fight the Terracon combiner, they agree to become Optitron Prime again, after millions of years.
This is the day Megatron becomes an Autobot and dedicates himself on the defend the right of freedom of all sentient beings and along with Optimus sacrifice their lives to destroy Unicron after he transforms, the only things to remain were the Fusion Cannon and the Matrix of Leadership that both Galaxy Shuttle and Astrotrain return to Cybertron.
It's here, we get a potential look at the Prime versions of some of the Autobots (Bumblebee/Hotrod/Inferno/Bulkhead/Prowl/some others), the Matrix picking Hotrod in the end. The Fusion Cannon was given to Starscream, this leads to a new Golden Age where the scientists of both sides work together to rebuild Cybertron.

Ehh, I'm really not digging this design for Megatron. He looks like G1 Megs filtered through the Bayverse design ethos. He looks a bit too visually busy for my taste compared to every Transformer design in the BBM Cybertron scene. Maybe he'll look better on screen if he appears in ROTB?
His head design does look pretty great even if it looks like he has a metal mustache. Lol
