I first heard the background music to this on a TV ad. Thought it was the most beautiful thing I'd ever heard. looked it up and found out that it was The National.
I couldn't figure out why it sounded so familiar, until I listened to that sufjan stevens song - Chicago. (as if it wasn't beautiful enough without being connected to Mr Stevens). Its my favourite song of theirs thus far because of what feels like a seam of hope runs through it and the triumphal trumpets(?) with the guitar drive it solemn call to important adventures.
you should check out Mumford and Sons (Indie Folk band) if you don't know them already. They have amazing songs which i think you will like. Most are about life and hardships and love.
cant even express how this song makes me feel.. it doesnt mess around, but goes straight for your heart.
"Put an ocean and a river
Between everybody else,
Between everything, yourself, and home"
juste awesome :)
My heart is always in jeopardy when I listen to this song. Wonderful.
Beautifully put, Breeda.
You are very kind. Thank you, Mark :)

Everyone's like, the vow and I'm like BEFORE WE GO
This would have been nice if it had been recorded with both left and right stereo channels (left channel is missing).
This song breaks my heart , I ve lost my child in London.....
:( im so sorry :(, nobody should lose their child. Most painfullest thing to a parent ever. :( She or he is in a better place now.
