Oh and the ending doesn't have them dead; They are his playthings, girlfriend's soul is now his like the other creatures in his game. Boyfriend however, was so fierce in his stand, that even defeated, he owns his own soul; He controls him, but he doesn't own him. BF stays with his own mind, not apart of the collective; A small win, even if he's still stuck in there forever.
