Can partnerships be established (pre launch) with government agencies (rec Department, mayor, etc) in order to help fund a new program that hasn’t started yet?
I'm the director of a small film festival. I'm looking to partner with a local nonprofit who has a similar interest- something to do with multimedia. Perhaps they would want somebody like me to be on their board. I'm seeking a partnership so I can use their nonprofit status to get donations from local businesses in the form of awards like gift baskets, dinner for two, maybe even a free stay at a local hotel for visiting filmmakers. Would I also be able to use their nonprofit status to apply for grants and donations?
Hi, thanks for watching! Yes, that’s possible- they can potentially be a fiscal sponsor for you OR they can directly partner end share some of the work- they would apply for grants and you would be a subcontractor. If you’re in the board and seeking business from them it will get a little messy in terms of conflicts of interest and self dealing so I would tread lightly.
One of the best videos I've seen discuss this. Thank you girl
Thank you so much!
thank you so much for saying there is power in numbers. I don't understand why people feel that we are in competition. We are all serving a purpose.
Exactly 🙏
If people don't wanna partner with you , dust your feet and move on. Thank you for such a great post.
Thank YOU for watching!
You are awesome!!! Thank you for this video!

Hi Boss on a Budget.
Do you have a template for forming a Nonprofit Partnership once both parties agree to work together?
Hi, unfortunately I do not, but I'm sure a Google search will come up with great options.
